Total or for the west stands?

I would think just West side. For the first game of the year, after Iowa and assuming we beat Idaho the East side would be half full at a minimum which would put us at about 19,000 at least. Should be more.

Yeah, but it's band day. That will take up a good chunk of space on the east side. Can I still buy Huskieland season tickets? I may get two more just so I don't to worry about random friends who want to go not being able to get it.

i think it is also family day

Buy ASAP. I would not be surprised if the west side was sold out before kickoff for Idaho.

Without student tickets I wonder how they many tickets they are going to put on sale for the East side. With the 2000 High School band kids I doubt there is much room.
I bought two on the East side on Tuesday.

Hey 7....

Typically I've bought tix for the West Side & then sat on East Side because West was cheaper.

How much were East Side tix?

Like $30 a piece. I probably should have just got season tickets because I'll be at 3 home games anyway, but whatever.

Thanks....I've got Season but may need a few more for EIU.
I've never understood why East Side singles are $30...?

My guess is because the logic is you can sit whever you want. I'll be in the front row, so that's not anymore expensive than it would be to do the same on the West side.

Yeah, I mean jeez, for $30, you're just about better off getting the Huskieland plan even at the off chance you'll go to another game. Not to mention it includes concessions/parking $ and a ticket to the MACC or Fiesta Bowl 05-stirthepot

RE: Home opener nearly sold out?!
OK there could be some fans turned away and now it is really time to get creative. How about opening up the Convo and broadcasting the game on the scoreboard for anyone that is turned away due to the sell out. Have a pep band and sell concessions. If the Convo is too big for this, do it in a smaller setting. Collect cash donations from all fans inside the stadium and also from the overflow crowd to help fund a stadium upgrade so no fan ever again needs to miss a home game. Go all out and really spoil anyone that is turned away at the gates ensuring that they have a first class and fun experience.

Overflow should be put on the berm.

On second thought, that cannon would make them all deaf.

Ask the Dekalb police and State police to do security and open up the berm. Put a temp fence up. Will look like crap on TV, but who really cares at that point.

Or just better control the distribution of student/east-side tickets and - if it comes to it - let everyone know there will be limited game-day tickets available so they don't run into this issue.

I don't think it'd ever come to it, but they could also set up screens/projectors/speakers between Douglas/Grant/Stevenson for a place to go just in case they do run into a situation where they're turning students/people away.

Edit: I'd love it if they could open up the berm, but I unfortunately think they'd probably favor trying to control the amount of people inside the stadium.

this feels like 2003 homecoming when the game was sold out and people were climbing trees to catch a glimpse of the game!

Was that the WMU game? Who was the HC opponent in 2003?

I finally ordered my tickets midway through summer (in Section E; not that I think it matters). They came with no ticket sheet, and just all individually printed tickets (with pictures), but no MACC/Bowl voucher was included. I have yet to inquire about it, but I presume it was something that was just missed in the package for people who ordered later (after all other accounts had been 'sent to the printer').
