That's life. I'm sure that the guys feel bad, but I'm sure that it's one or two who see their chance to shine. Let's hope they take full advantage of it and prove themselves.

I've found out a lot of details....I can't see why he was dismissed. Several former players confirming not because of drugs or criminal activity. Kid has never had grade issues. The entire team seems to be in support of Williams on Twitter. There is more I could say since I'm not a media member but I respect the professionalism of those former players who contact me and I want them to continue to feel comfortable talking with me.

I am absolutely sick over this, as I love Jackie Williams as a person and as a player. Humphrey has a huge opportunity now.........guess we'll find out if Jamari Staples is the All-World player they thought he was on signing day. I am confident that somebody will step up in a big way.

From reading twitter, I don't think Jackie has a clue why he was dismissed. McGee better have a solid reason, otherwise he will drop further down in my thoughts about him.

i find it annoying people are making coach mcgee out to be the bad guy. Lets not support the coach that is trying to turn the joke a program around for us blazer fans and alumni. Instead lets question why he does what he does. Do you think coach mcgee would drop his best player for a small incident? Show support and appreciation for Williams, but dont beat down coach for disciplining his players. We dont kno what happened. I havent seen much bashing of coach on here, but i have seen it over the last few hours elsewhere. Im done ranting, Lol.

And you are? Since Coach McGee let the kid go I would venture to guess it was for a valid reason and doesn't require the approval of anyone on here.

You're right, but you are also witnessing a fan culture that isn't used to winning either and seeing what arguably could be our best returning player cut loose.

McGee might have more trust than our previous coaches, but the fan base is still, in the back of their mind, questioning whether he really can turn this thing around, whether anyone will admit to that or not.

We're all just going to have to sit back and watch how this thing unfolds.

A fan of the program since 1978. I hope you are right about a valid reason and you are right. It doesn't require my approval. I think I know too much other crap that probably has tainted my views.

1. Jackie wasn't our best player. Darrin Reaves is.

2. McGee's the guy paid to make these decisions. Raise your hand if you really believe he doesn't have the program's best interests at heart.

True, Reaves is a flat out stud. I still think was are pretty strong at WR. It will be interesting to see who all steps up. I wonder if any of the true freshmen are good enough to step in and help? They sure seemed to like Staples a lot.

I think multiple freshmen will see playing time. It'll keep all the WRs fresh.

Maybe that's the issue. MH has been getting a lot of luv from the media and HCGM has made some flattering comments about him in numerous interviews. Sometimes you have to be careful in the delicate situations.

Fans have every right to question a coach and his decisions. None of them are God. Being second guessed by fans the media and and everyone else is part of the job. The coach has every right not to listen or care. As I said before, idk what happened here but we all know what Jackie has contributed in the past and it seems strange. McGee isn't obligated to explain himself to any one on here but that doesn't absolve him of all critism. I just think a player like Jackie who has put so many deposits in the bank account would have to write a pretty bad check to have his account closed.
