I noticed you guys had a football game day atmosphere inside the arena during the work. 05-stirthepot

This (the SID doing a good job) is real recent. I think they finally understood that fans like videos.

What is the capacity of that place? I think my high school had a bigger gym.

I still can't believe that is a D1 gym. GSU has beaten our basketball team multiple times, but our early 80's facility looks like the Taj comparatively.

GSU 's arena reminds me a lot of the old Trojan Arena. I love the new SBC logo. Together we rise!

It has character and is loud all get out even with 2000 in attendance. Its like an old sweatshirt. It is old and not so great looking but it makes you smile.

I found the master plan on line. While it still will not be large enough, it will be very nice as a facility.

This is what the new GSU Sports Arena will look like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdy8j0Dzf...en5mVAQFp2

There currently is no timeline for this project... which frustrates the heck out of Panther fans.

Reality is that outside of UAB or Memphis who draws more than 4500 in the South?

You're right. That's why our new arena is 5,500. We want all out on amenities instead of a 10,000 seat arena we'll never fill.

The thing that makes it unique that no other school can claim is it is an urban school built in an urban area. Very unique design that fits into a standard city block.

UTA's is also in an urban space, but we aren't in the downtown area of a major city, just a major city's suburban downtown. There is plenty of room to expand outward. It is a little harder for the Panthers, especially paying downtown real estate prices.

Not sure if you consider NC and VA the south or Mid-Atlantic, but Charlotte and ODU both average over 6,000.
