So they (the minority AQ) are upset that the we (the majority non-AQ) are blocking the pay-to-play idea? They think it "is just wrong"? Well what about how how the AQs are treating the non-AQs - is that not "just wrong"?

There is such a thing called the NFL,Arena FB, the CFL, etc. I suggest that anybody good enough to earn a living playing FB go there and give back college athletics back to true student/athletes.

Steinbrecher shot down this false talking point at the MAC media day when he described how the P5 conferences can't agree on a solution amongst themselves. It's not the G5's fault.

Didn't our commissioner just say the exact opposite of that? That nobody blocked anything, just that the "schools with the resources" couldn't agree on a good proposal?

Yep. At 9:10.

9:10 - Miscellaneous expense allowance/stipend. Unfairly pointed out that the "low resource" conferences voted it down, when the "high resource" conferences couldn't agree.

The NCAA's executive director had a retreat/pow-wow where it got cooked up. They couldn't figure out if each athlete receiving a partial scholarship should be able to get the full stipend or a ratio based on the amount of aid so they just fired off the head count thing.

But the reality is 95% of FBS supported the change and a few of the objections were over equivalency

You can read that comment two totally different ways.

The fact that full cost of attendance IS getting blocked by schools without the resources IS just wrong. (Saying that non-AQs are not blocking it contrary to earlier reports)

The FACT the full cost of attendance is getting BLOCKED by schools WITHOUT the RESOURCES is just wrong. (Saying that non-AQs are blocking it and he is a lying prick)

I am not sure which one he meant as the word came out yesterday that it is not the non-AQs who are blocking this but the AQs who cant agree on a single program.

It's using emotional language when logic fails. It's the current state of academics.
