This was really my only complaint with my floor design. If I simply flip the lion horizontally and switch his arm and head, it'll be much more balanced.

What I don't understand is why you guys care so much. It's a good idea, and it'll really help get the message out that ODU is in Virginia (aka, The Old Dominion). It's a good marketing move and I think that it looks good.

This logo has been around the Marshall community for awhile now. Long before ECU put a copy version on their field. Its not on the football field here even though I pushed for it when we got the new turf installed. So just becuase ECU chose to do it hardly makes it an "ECU thing". It is an awesome design though and ECU did the right thing in doing it.

Illinois had the chief illiniwek logo for years on their field and on their hoops court.

Ive had a similair sticker on my 2002 envoy for about as long as weve owned it.

Beautiful floor. I hope to get to see it in person someday soon.

Eastern Shore? I lived in NC for almost 3 years and not one time did I ever hear anyone refer to it as that. In fact I dont think Ive ever seen that ever. Outer Banks yes. Eastern Shore? WTF.

So much fail in one post. Firstly, I was agreeing with you. That's why I posted the photo that doesn't have a legit shape of NC. Secondly, I was referring to that little part you referred to in Virginia we call the Eastern Shore. Lastly, do you really think someone living in Norfolk wouldn't know the difference between the Outer Banks and the Eastern Shore?

Someone refers to the Eastern shore as "the piece of Va just to the north of [ODU]"
Someone (from ODU) says that that "piece" is the Eastern Shore.

I do not understand how this is difficult to comprehend.

However, this simple and understandable error was fixed and everyone left the tough negotiations very happy. Why is this rearing its head again?

Okay, since you decided to dredge up a discussion that was already settled, I'll explain my comments:

I respond with "They sure did" and provide a photo of a logo UNC used that doesn't have a legit shape of North Carolina. That is, unless you think North Carolina has no waterways separating the Outer Banks from the rest of the state. Also, if this map was correct, there would be no Outer Banks. It would just be shoreline.
