No more of a "weird place" than GaSt/ODU, GaSo/FAU, Idaho/Tulsa or FIU/ULM.

I'd be thrilled to see it happen. I'd also like to see a home-home-neutral. The neutral would obviously be played in Charlotte, but I imagine the actual crowd would be fairly evenly split, not giving Charlotte a home field advantage.

I would love to see it happen starting in 2017 then. I'd even be fine with what you propose, a three year rotation with (Boone, Charlotte Campus, Charlotte (B of A Stadium)).

I know what you mean. I would love to see a home and home with USA/UAB. It would be great for both schools.

At present, South Alabama and Southern Mississippi have a home and home scheduled for 2020/2021. God willing, I will be at both games without a doubt. I do not know why the UAB/USA home and home has not been inked.

Without a doubt, I think South Alabama's biggest rival is Southern Miss. No offense to Troy, we 'hate' you too -- a hate built on respect, btw. But USM has some crazy kind of superiority complex (who knows why, they're broke and went 0-12 last year!). And the seem to think Mobile is their home territory. Their scheduling of a home baseball game in Mobile (vs. Auburn) did not help.

Sadly, these 2 schools aren't finding a way to play each other in football until 2020 and 2021. I'm certain this series will be huge, though, when it's finally played.

I was kind of surprised to hear the vitriol from some Southern Miss fans directed at South Alabama when the Jags name came up in an expansion thread on the CUSA board. I had no idea about any of that...um...unpleasantness.

Just seems like their threatened to me...I dunno...Southern Miss is a fine program and so is South Alabama, it seems like a no brainer rivalry to me.

Georgia Southern and Marshall were rivals back in the 90's but have not played since.

Belt wins 6 or 7 of those games. Going to be interesting to watch the trends of these two conferences over time.

UNT has owned the Bobcats in both football and basketball over the years. Not much of a rivalry. UNT has a annual game with UT-Arlington. Both would love to have an annual Metroplex basketball tournament with TCU, SMU, UNT and UTA. TCU and SMU avoid games with either.

Look forward not backwards. The performances in the past no longer cash the checks your writing today. I agree no rivalry, because you have yet to play Texas State in Football. I just want to put an end to the talk and get you on the field. Now basketball, you definitely have the upper hand right now. And education prestige well we both know we don't have to go there, isn't that right metroplex commuter??? 05-stirthepot

I think ODU fans would agree that after incredibly entertaining games in 2011 and 2012, we have a nice Sun Belt/ CUSA rivalry in the making.

Below is a nice video that quickly summarizes the game last year.

If you want to put an end to the talk, just SHUT UP. Most of the "talk" is coming from Bobcat folks. The natural "rival" for UNT in the Belt is UTA & we've already got a thing going every year in basketball. Accept that and move on.

HAHA I'm gonna start calling you crawfish. You come out and pop off then retreat back into your hole everytime. Alright crawfish, I will take your advice and shut up with anything in regards to your school. All you have to do is not comment on anything Texas State from here on out and we'll be good. It shouldn't be a problem with you since you have that thing going on in Arlington.

I have many 25 friends and high school classmates from Mobile who graduated from USM. The game in Mobile will be a must attend for them.

RE: Sun Belt vs CUSA rivals
If I had to choose one CUSA school that I would want another football win over it would be Marshall.
A game against UNCC right now would seem like a waste of time. See no way UNCC can beat us anytime
in the next few years. I am not putting UNCC down, they just need several years to get going.
Marshall -vs- App State would have enough vitriol to fill pages of national press.
Besides Marshall expects to run through CUSA East and have great records for the next several years,
and will probably do it, would be a fun win.

Pop off & retreat ? You brought up UNT and I replied. i doubt seriously if I would have even posted in this thread if you had not mentioned UNT. Just take your own advise and not comment about UNT if you don't want someone to reply.
