UC isn't going anywhere....the clock has struck midnight for the Cats....the year was going to be tough anyway and after Kirkland's blown knee...we have just sucked. Hate to be negative but Martha bar the door.....I'm not comin' back.....it's over for UC folks.

I wouldn't say that cat, I love my team but we are beatable, you guys have more experienced players than we do.LOL Anything can happen in a rivarly game plus you got us at the shoe. I wouldn't count UC out yet there is plenty of basketball to be played. I don't feel good about UofL's chances to make the tourny and it literally pisses me off, but I still have hope. Plus our football class has kept me from going crazy over this basketball season. ;-)

Marquette victory over Seton Hall and UConn virtually makes the Golden Eagles a lock at this point.

Marquette is currently a 7-seed on the updated Bracketology.

The lowest seeded BE team on Bracketology is Syracuse and Seton Hall who are listed as 9 seeds.

I understand that but in this conference the only teams really locked in at this point are UCONN, Villanova, WVU, G-town, and Pitt. The rest of the teams still have some battles left and nobody is safe. Outside of those five there are still 3 to 4 spots left that teams are playing for. Thats not to say Marquette won't make it but they have some very tough games left.

Isn't Marquette currently 6-3 in the conference? If so two more wins and Marquette would be sitting pretty. Lunardi (not that he is God) says Marquette is in fine shape and I tend to agree. That UConn victory will go a long away with the Selection Committee.

Seton Hall and Syracuse are the two teams I would say are not safe yet. But Seton Hall is heading in the right direction while Syracuse isn't.

Everyone else in the league needs a prayer.

You wish. ;-) I stated earlier in this thread I would love to see UC turn it around and get back into the Dance conversation. And I would also tell you as a UAB fan we would love to have Andy Kennedy as our coach if Mike Anderson left UAB. Why your administration is not trying to keep him is befuddling. Injuries have crippled the Bearcats this season.

Put Cincy back on the Bubble! With an RPI of about 36 b-4 the win over UL and no bad losses! ok maybe Dayton at home early in the first two weeks of the season but at least a rivalry game 45 miles apart etc. Wins over LSU, VANDY, Marquette two on the road and one neutral site. Home wins over UL, Ohio, Murray St. Rutgers. A top 7 schedule and very important our mirror
games are UL, Syracuse, WVU all ranked teams at some point. You must compare the strength of schedule and RPI overall but within the conference a 7-9 team could be much more deserving than a 9-7 team especially when they may have mirror team all unranked and all with losing records etc.
