Playing games in the states your trying to recruit matters. Players like to be able to play in there home state. I can assure you that MT has zero interest in the MAC and without further Sun Belt defections I strongly doubt WKU will have interest in the MAC either.

As far as the MAC being better than CUSA, 2012 is one of the few years that you could say that's definitely the case, but we've all been saying here for the past few years that the Sun Belt has passed the MAC in everything but perception.

Yes, I'm aware of previous talks. But with the scrambling of realignment that is occurring right now and the negative perception that most NCAA fans have of the Sun Belt, I think both schools would consider a move to the MAC if the situation presented itself and it was the only way out of the Belt.

Obviously, now that MTSU has accepted an invite to C-USA, they would have no interest in moving to the MAC. At least not right now. My hypothetical was on if MTSU was still chained to the Belt. I believe that if MTSU had not already accepted an invite to the MAC, then they would be open to a possible invite to the MAC. I think most Sun Belt schools would be.

I personally feel that a move to the MAC could be detrimental in the short term for WKU, but good in the long term. Obviously there would be small recruitment hurtles that would occur, but I don't think they would be as impacting as some previous posts have indicated.
