I didn't see that one coming, hate it for him. If anyone I'd have thought defensive side or OL but I didn't really feel like anyone would be gone this year anyway w/ it being first year staff etc.

Certainly a possibility. Whoever gets the job, I hope they A) are a great WR coach/recruiter and B) care as much about UAB as Ron did.

12th in the country in passing offense this year. If the Arkansas guy doesn't come I'll be shocked.

Also don't be shocked if a current staffer is moved to WR coach and the new coach will be coaching another position or area.

Soooo... are we the RazorBlazers now?
sorry about the pun, couldn't resist.
But seriously, I wonder who it will be and when will the official announcement be, since Arkansas is not in a bowl game.

No, I was gonna say that too.

There's a couple of guys there that have been at more than one job with McGee and that I could see coming here.

If we are talking about people moving around, Helton or Blevins could could coach WR and that would open the door for a new RB or DB coach.

Interesting possibilities.

RE: Changes on football coaching staff?
The "current" WR coach at Arkansas seems legit to me.

Top recruiter, etc.

And possibly wondering where he's going to be in the next month or so. Anybody at Arkansas may be looking for a comfortable spot elsewhere with all the uncertainty there right now.

I know we have a defensive coordinator already, but I hope he gets someone who can keep the defense in the game.
Offense seemed ok.

DC at Arkansas to DB coach at UAB is a really big step down, even if he is looking for a job.

I think the fact that tons of freshmen were playing hurt us more than the defensive scheme. Time and experience should improve us there- starting next season.

Maybe so. I am just throwing out food for thought. He was co-DC at OSU the year before that, so you are probably right.
But, What good is someone making coaching changes if we can't speculate?

Odd that we fired the WR coach a week after a big WR commit. Coincidence?

RE: Changes on football coaching staff?
I think McGee needs to evaluate a former Razorback coach currently on his staff. I'm sure there are understandable reasons Sigler is gone, but idk a former player being let go after one year doesn't sit well with me. The wide receivers were fine this year. If he's replaced with someone better, then it won't matter to me.

04-cheers Amen. I think we are probably thinking of the same person. I wasn't impressed.
