Big changes coming with this new bowl system being approved. The ACC has a crappy TV contract. Look for FSU and Clemson to the B12 rumors to start.

Yeah, they're going to essentially end up flying all the way across the country to play in what was CUSA 03-lmfao

Benson and the Boys need to be putting their heads together on how can we make our conference stronger! Besides the Big Four (SEC, PAC 12, Big12, & Big 10) the MAC & SBC are the only stable ones left.

I see another rush of FCS move-ups. C-USA will be looking to fill holes. Whatever teams are left in C-USA will be playing with FCS startups and move ups. I see App St and Ga Southern possibly getting invites to C-USA.

Benson should be on the phone right now with USM and Tulsa.

I truthfully dont think we would ever call Tulsa. I think we would see more value in signing up Southern Miss, killing CUSA, and leaving everyone else to come to us.

Maybe we can do a trade, we take USM and they get Ga St. 04-rock

I would still like to see Ga Southern and App St come along. No more teams that get no support. No to Tulane, FIU, UAb, Central Mich, I think you get the idea.

For what it is worth, I think it would help Tulane out a lot if they came along with USM. They would draw fans from ULL, ULM, USM and USA, that's a very easy day trip for a game.

RE: Its not over: Rutgers and Maryland to Big 10
No matter what we do I think we have to keep the conference foot print tight. We need to minimize travel cost, which should have a positive impact to the bottom line. This ever so true with the increase in BCS revenue. I'm not oppose to inviting Tulsa, but we need to try and attract teams that have history with current and future members, will bringing fan support. For example if we decide to go the FCS route then JMU/Liberty/APPY/GaSou should be a package deal. These schools have years of history and fan support with one another. Plus they do travel well. I just don't know how we could convince a school like USM to come to the belt without the additional dollars being there. We would perhaps be increasing the monetary value of our conference if we convince our core to stay (MT, Troy, ASU, WKU) while selling them on schools in markets that will bring fan support, add financial value to the conference within a reasonable travel distance.

As long as our we get transmission issues on freakin' espn3, any jump to another conference is a plus. Too much hope/hype is placed on Benson. I expect MT/WKU to go and the Belt will get all the FCS teams it wants.

I wish it weren't this way but that whole espn3 issue today rubbed me the wrong way...

Until the SBC get CUSA level tv and bowl deal it still won't make sense for schools to come back. One year won't completely change people minds. Got to kind winning.

There will be absolutely no reason for any Sun Belt program to go rushing to align with UAB, Charlotte, FIU, Marshall, ODU, Tulane, Rice, UNT, UTEP. None.

It really will be time for the SBC to commit to one another and refuse to be raided by that.

Without Ucf, SmU and Houston CUSA tv is dead! they are adding garbage to replace that...Put any CUSA team against our top 4..our teams will win more than 75% of the time...A-state is growing their name every day.Building an amazing football operations facility..ULL expanding football related facilities..MTSU and WKU have projects their own too..Troy right now is hot!..Don't sleep on this group possibly sticking together..

If NBE loses one more then they Will pull from CUSA and still one from MWC that means these 2 Conf. pulls from the Belt

MTSU - CUSA
TXST - MWC

and Maybe the MAC comes in

WKU - MAC

Money / Bowls Just better so teams move...

Hopefully this all falls though so there is some peace for awhile..

What's this? An opportunity for Georgia Southern to join the Sun Belt? Did I mention we're expanding our stadium in January? 03-wink *ducks for cover*

The MAC and MT/WKU have both sniffed each other's butts before, both sides came away unimpressed. The MAC will not poach from the Sun Belt, I promise you that.

If Rutgers and Maryland move, Georgia Southern and App State will get an FBS invite from somewhere...I can promise you that.

This is going to make the ACC pull from the Big East. The Big East will take at least 1 from Conference USA. I think most Sun Belt teams would still go to CUSA until the Sun Belt gets the bowl revenue and overall money that CUSA gets.
