What do you not understand about the play?
There was 4 seconds left.
If UL kneels, ULM gets the ball on the 15 yard line.
Sure...if it was a one possession game.
Were you guys concerned that ULM might come up with a 10 point play?

If giving 100% on the play means concerned, then yes. Both teams were concerned.

If you had lined up to take a knee, do you really think ULM would have sent 11?
I finally watched the play today, and I am just telling you how it looks to everyone outside of Lafayette and Monroe.

RE: ULM's Beat writer's unprofessional piece
This is just stupid.
I've never seen so much butthurt. There is nothing wrong with what either team did against their biggest rival. It's just lucky they both did it on the same play. This would only be a big deal if the Cajuns went to take a knee and ULM brought the house, or had the Cajuns lined up in the victory formation and faked the knee and threw it deep. Both teams went after each other on the last play of the game, it just so happens that the Cajuns connected on the pass and scored a touchdown.
You think the true biggest rivalries in the college football haven't had games end like this over the years? You all need to get the hell over it.

Would it have been poor sportsmanship if ULM had forced a fumble, scooped and scored?

Even better than Tabby's butthurt is the whining comment by Chris Johnson dredging up his fantasy "agreement" about our choice to refer to ourselves. What a *****.

Chiefsfan, let me help you with this one. Last week, ASU scores late in the game against the Cajuns, Huds comments, "It's our job to stop them and we didn't do that." ULM's response yesterday, You have no class! Big difference in the way both coaches handle a loss.

Yes, but we hardl threw a pass the entire 2nd half, and scored that final TD from inside the 10 yard line, and still a lot of our fans were concerned we were running it up.
YOu guys were at your own 20 with 4 seconds left in a 10 point game and came out in a 4 wide set.

Never the less, it shows how one coach handles a loss and another handles the loss. You are welcome to your own opinion but I would call attention to their score at the end of the Tulane game with 2:52 left in regulation. I didn't see their athlete run out of bounds after making the first down or slide not to score. Sounds like a whole bunch of hypocrisy to me and just sour grapes.

Find me a quote where Berry says it was classless.

If you want to be a fan, be a fan, or write an editorial.
Don't imply we run a dirty program. Don't insult our coach and insinuate he's an ******* based on things you "heard" without saying what they are.
You are supposed to be a reporter. Plus, she takes her coach at face value by assuming there is some unwritten pact that an all out blitz means the other team throws the ball away.
If you don't want us to throw the ball for a TD, don't send 11 guys to hit our QB when the game is out of hand.
But her conclusion that the team with class doesn't always come out on top implies our team doesn't have class. What a piece of **** newspaper and hack of a writer.
I have a lot of respect for Coach Berry, Browning and many ULM fans.
For a school that started Cajunhateweek and referred to us as ULL when we asked to be called either UL Lafayette or the Cajuns you certainly get pissy when things don't go your way.
Rant off - I wish Browning a speedy recovery. He and your team deserve more people in the stands.
Join the club.
Tabby said MT had a dirty program, as well.
Unprofessional as hell.
