We know what we are....a 1st year FBS with 2 recruiting classes under our belts.

Thought 4-5 wins would be a good sign and we're almost there. We went in with both feet with 11 FBS games on our schedule and pulled an upset. We knew the year wouldn't be pretty but it will show us where we need to shore up our team. That's all we can ask for.

Well, you still have New Mexico State to play and they lost to Idaho so that should be a win for you. UTSA should be an interesting game. You and UTSA have done a lot better than any expected this year. I think Texas State shows real promise for the future. Good luck with the rest of the season! 04-cheers

Thank you! FWIW, I don't think UTSA will be a challenge if our guys can stay healthy and not get the crap beat out of them when playing LaTech or USU

Bobcats lose to San Jose State 31-20 Texas State was leading 20-17 at the half. San Jose State had made good second half adjustments and pulled away for the win. Bobcats were in the game all the way thru. Next Up Utah State in Logan

It's not just second half adjustments. It's depth, especially on D.
I was listening to the game at work and the announcers stated, about halfway through the 3rd Qtr, that the D was getting winded.

That was just right before the final TD.

As I stated elsewhere. I think, with the guys we have sitting out this year along with the younger guys getting experience this year, we'll not only be better but deeper in 2013.

I always expect my team to win.
They won't win all of them, maybe , but I expect them to win.

Sorry, but a large part of it is second half adjustments. I will FULLY grant you that we don't have the depth to keep up with top tier folks, but the gameplan in the second half has been atrocious, and isn't doing the defense ANY good.

It is your first year at FBS and you guys are doing fantastic. I have been following TxSt and you guys are representing the TSUS well.
