Lived the entire time in Hendry County, a true "Muck Rat". Grew up in Clewiston, moved to LaBelle in 1999. So the football teams that I watched were Glades Central, Pahokee, Immokalee, Glades Day, South Ft. Myers, Dunbar, Clewiston & LaBelle, etc. Quality football, at least everyone but LaBelle.
God bless you sir.
Born and raised in Tampa, so I've grown up with Plant, Armwood, and Lakeland just to name a few. Closest game I've seen near there would prolly be a game at Hardee way back when. Now that I'm here in Boca, I'd love to check out a Muck Bowl before I graduate.
born in orlando. spent every summer visiting dad there. tampa....god's waiting room.
one year of high school at lake wier h.s. up near ocala.
Hahahaha are you serious? When was the last time you've been to Tampa? And when was the last time you've been to any town in South Florida if you think Tampa is "God's waiting room?"

Also - I've not been in the building and this is speculation - but I wonder if the HYPESS wasn't funded as a student athletic center with major design considerations for men's and women's basketball and volleyball practice. It is a relatively new building that can host volleyball matches.
One of the major deals with Volleyball this year has been getting the team back in the convo.

well.....umm it was a couple years ago i went there on my way to siesta key. i saw a lot of old folks in that whole area.
i'm just telling you that is what tampa was known as in the greater orlando area. it was jokingly referred to as god's waiting room. because of all the old people. see...old people are ready to die. a lot of them used to live in that area. maybe there's been a baby boom.
i'm sure a lot of old folks live in miami too. but us folks in orlando didn't call miami god's waiting room. we called tampa that.

1. Siesta Key isn't Tampa, it's not even in the same county. Though it is in the Tampa Bay area, it's just outside of Sarasota. This would be like saying Melbourne is Orlando, to help you get a sense of the distance.
2. That's what happens in Sarasota
3. That's funny, us in Tampa call Orlando our ugly step sister jokingy of course
