We are winning. Our numbers grow every day. This movement is bigger than one man. Even if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, his son will run in 2016. And the R[evol]ution will be there waiting on him.

Do you ever read what you post, step back, and think about how crazy you sound? Revolution, his son will carry on his legacy, waiting for him...really?

Oh yea because being on the ballot is really a validation of ones Quality... I mean Obama, McCain, Biden and Palin... Clearly the cream rose to the top.. 03-banghead

Do you ever step back and look at history?

How do you think his son blew away the KY GOP establishment in fundraising and grassroots?
Where do you think the Tea Party came from?
Do you see signs of this movement fading away or even stopping its growth?

What exactly is it about liberty that you fear so much?

Its more than that.. Paul flavors the drink even if he is not the guy who carries the banner. He will force the debates to go a bit right, he introduces people to some concepts that they might not otherwise hear.

I'm no libertarian but I sure as heck like paul more than just about anyone else in the field right now..

Good point. My point is that RP is so fringe he will never be on the ballot. I agree that being on the ballot doesn't make you the best candidate.

Its RP's and your vision of liberty that scares me...and most Americans with half a brain. I agree with Bull in that he will force issues front and center that would otherwise take a back seat but he still has some really crazy ideas about how to run this country.

Maybe, maybe not... I think he was a man who came before his time! We need a president *today* who can say both "We spend too much on Welfare" and "what in the hell are we doing in Iraq", Show me anyone else who fits the bill.... Were paul 15 years younger I think he would walk to the nomination but there is a media perception about him that will make air time hard. He is also not an establishment politician. Unlike Palin, and McCain, who touted themselves as "Mavricks" Paul will actually extend the middle finger to the establishment when the situation calls for it.

Damn it, I am getting sucked into the Ron Paul World...

I disagree with him on some social issues but the only social issue that is make or break for me is Abortion and Paul is very pro life.

All I've heard is you cry for mommy over a third world country almost entirely without a military force, and entirely without nuclear weapons or a program to create nuclear weapons. So indulge us with your crazy list.

I'm very pro life as well. I don't hate the guy I just don't think his ideas on foreign policy are good for the country. Some of his fiscal ideas are a little out there as well. But he does have SOME good ideas. I don't know if policies like his will ever be popular enough to be POTUS.

But the inflammatory nature of you post was not "The American Public just does not agree with paul" or "Paul is unelectable"... It was an insult to Libertarianism and Libertarians in general. Hell it was not even an accurate rundown of them.

You say Paul can't win I say, maybe your right. But Paul would dismantle Obama if he got through the primary.

03-yes

Do you have any idea how embarrassing it would be for Obama to debate Paul on ANYTHING Constitution, ANYTHING foreign policy, ANYTHING economics. Blood bath.

I don't really watch debates anymore but I would prepare popcorn for an Obama - Paul debate.. Obama the "Constitutional law expert" would not last one round against your average informed libertarian let alone someone who has been doing it in congress for years.

I agree. Mathematicians are merely physicists that have lost touch with reality. The best mathematicians are and always have been physicists.

Old school thought. The demands of computing has made the mathematicians king once more. The laws of physics are meaningless in cyberspace.

Oh - and Ron Paul rocks! Libertarianism is the closest model I've seen to nature. We are born with the freedom to choose. That is the nature of things.

I'm not an anarchist nor a moral relativist. I just want to be left alone if I'm not hurting anybody, and am prepared to leave other people alone if they're not hurting me. I'll chip in for my share of infrastructure, safety, and defense.

Whether you're on the far left or far right depends on which of your civil liberties you're willing to have stomped .
