Deportation....
Really?

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2011...?hpt=us_t1

And to hear you guys talk we are legally the same.

Oh, and upto a few years ago, as an HIV positive man, I would have had a major issue getting back into the US... let alone if I wanted to bring my partner into the US.

Equality? Sure.

That was for immigrants, and others, from my understanding the law also covered US Citizens, making you register with DHHS, etc. Not, at least in my case, I've done a damn thing illegal about it... but 2nd class citizen is great! Do cancer patients have to register with DHHS? Probably should have too.

I'm not trying to make light of your condition, but tell me how having HIV/AIDS equates to someone with cancer. HIV/AIDS can be spread to other people - just like other contagious diseases that can kill you. It's not the common cold here. Also, cancer is not an infectious disease. You won't make your point by linking unrelated things in order to emotionally charge the debate.

Where did I say anything about "sweeping generalization"? Are you even reading the posts here, or just trying to guess at what's being said?

I'm not seeing the issue. Immigration is a Federal issue. Their "marriage" is not recognized federally, so why should it stop the deportation.

Now at the same time, I find it stupid that the Feds go after this lady, but refuse to stop the inflow of criminals via the Mexico border.

You asked if I knew "...how many logical fallacies..." I had crammed into one post.

I asked you to tell me what I said was wrong, about it.

I then provided citation.

You then told me "I don't think you understand what a logical fallacy is."

I then reanswered. Including DEFINING LOGICAL FALLACY, or at least one version of it. I wasn't arguing innuendo, or hell even post hoc ergo propter hoc, or sweeping generalizations.

I think you haven't read any of the posts here. Thanks for playing Torch.

Oh. And I've answered you. You are evading my question. I guess you just can't answer, can ya? Come on... stop evading and MAN UP and quit hiding and dodging.

Dodge what? I can't even figure out what you're saying w/ your random grammar and meaningless sentence structure.

Anyway, I figure it's 2 or 3 logical fallacies in your first post. It's only grown since then.

Making and enforcing laws based on how people "feel" has never been a good way for a government to operate.

No, but your genes are...

Fine, if you catch the flu you need to register with DHHS.

And how am I communicating it to anyone? Wait, I'm not... I don't give blood. I go to a doctor. I'm about to start meds, I've volunteered for medical testing for a vaccine and a cure. I'm trying to see if I can get genetic testing to see if I have the Delta32 immunity. I'd say I'm actually HELPING society, and yet I'm being penalized for helping... hmm...

Who is helping society? I'm sorry, but I can't let that pass. The CDC data does not lie, and there is a HUGE white elephant in the room that no one will talk about.

Quote:Diagnoses of HIV Infection by Transmission Category

Six common transmission categories are male-to-male sexual contact, injection drug use, male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use, heterosexual contact, mother-to-child (perinatal) transmission, and other (includes blood transfusions and unknown cause).

Following is the distribution of the estimated number of diagnoses of HIV infection among adults and adolescents in the 40 states with confidential name-based HIV infection reporting, by transmission category. A breakdown by sex is provided where appropriate.

Transmission Category Estimated Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2009
Adult and Adolescent Males Adult and Adolescent Females Total
Male-to-male sexual contact 23,846
Injection drug use 3,932
Male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use 1,131
Heterosexual contact* 12,860
Other** 76
* Heterosexual contact with a person known to have, or to be at high risk for, HIV infection.
** Includes hemophilia, blood transfusion, perinatal exposure, and risk not reported or not identified.

*known to have.

And many hetero's are far more stigmatized than gays about ADMITTING they have HIV and seeking treatment. I know a few heteros with it, and they have had unprotected sex with people without telling them. (That's a felony, I believe.)

Seems to me, by allowing medical research on my physical body, I'm helping. But I guess Miko, you don't get that. The white horse is that the Government nor the pharmaceutical companies want to solve it. For me to get meds, it'll cost around 2500+ a month. Just pills. Bloodwork every 2/3 months to check counts t-cell and viral load. Interim doctors visits. etc. Sorry, there really isn't much interest in solving it, from a corporate stand point. It's just too profitable.

The flu, even without medication, is nearly never fatal.

So far you have tried to compare an STD that is 100% fatal without drug cocktails (which don't cure the disease just keep you alive) and very contagious to Cancer and the Flu..

Can you see how much you're reaching here?

RE: Deportation....
That's funny. It's not nearly 100% fatal. I know people who have lived for 20+ YEARS without MEDS and are healthy as an ox. But, again, I wouldn't expect you to know that since it doesn't effect you at all. This is one think I truly know mind, body and soul.

And I think they'd argue the people in 1917/18 during that flu epidemic, Avian Flu, etc, and the elderly and children who die every year from the flu,(why do we have flu shots if it's so unscary?) would argue with you Bull. And isn't cancer usually fatal, it did kill my aunt and my grandmother. and HIV isn't just an STD. It's a bloodbourne pathogen. Get it right, that's why the guy I'm dating and I are called "Serodiscordant." Different Blood.

I also like that Torch never has bother to answer me.
