Just thought I would throw that out again for those who keep missing or ignoring it and substituting their revisionist history.
I'll put you down as in favor of the Crusades. You are now a lunatic.
Rather than sit still and be overrun, maybe lunacy is the way to go.
You may be correct, but don't do it in the name of Christ.
Utter nonsense. You said to point out Jesus' actions. Ok, how about when he overthrew the tables and the moneychangers in the Temple? Obviously turning the other cheek has a time and a place.
Jesus was all about justice. He was about caring for people. He was about protecting the weak: the orphan and the widow.
So now you're saying that resisting a throng of violent, evil, pagans, ones who loot, kill and rape, is
wrong? That somehow it honors God to watch a woman have her sons killed and her be raped, b/c we're "turning the other cheek"?
That's ludicrous, even for a liar like you.
When confronted with a dilemma (like you feebly try to propose) Jesus gave us the answer. Should He heal on the sabbath? Isn't that for resting? What did Jesus do? He healed the man, because it was the right thing to do.
So, if there is a real question about whether Christians should protect people from evil, you know what? We most certainly can, and
should do it, and do it in the name of Christ.
