RE: Josh Jarboe considering ASU??
He is visiting this weekend. Freeze recruited him at Ole Miss. A topic has already been started on the ASU board. I wish someone from Troy would go over there and tell the ASU fans he is trouble.

He got kicked out of Oklahoma, then got kicked out of Troy. That should say enough right there.

we're already well aware of Jarobe, and how uhh Special he is. Its not too often one gets kicked out of 2 schools.

However, Freeze prides himself on playing a father figure to his players and has very high expectations for them, so if he's convinced that Jarobe has turned the corner, and that he wont throw any more snowballs at cops, then Ill take him

Theres no denying the talent, and he has to know this is his last chance.

Blakeney is known for doing well with these "second-chance" players, and it isn't often that Blakeney kicks off the players he gives second chances to.

And it was muucchh more than throwing a snowball at a cop that led to his dismissal.

If Freeze can use his talent and keep him out of trouble at the same time, then more power to him and ASU. I just don't think that's possible though.

Didn't he make some comments when he left Troy about wanting to get back to the "big time" or something to that effect?

Just say no.

Kid has been in trouble forever.

I thought Troy was stupid for bringing him on, and if ASU does it now that hes been kicked out of 2 schools, that goes in BEYOND stupid.

I believe I read that once he was interviewed after getting to juco. Maybe, just maybe he has finally learned some of life's lessons and to handle his business. If stAte gets him, hopefully he can make them proud. My belief is that he couldn't crack the starting line up...

Here it was, his facebook status after being dismissed from Troy, pulled this from the dothan eagle.

“No longer attending Troy no more I felt this was (the) best option and took it. I’ll be in Mississippi for (three) hardworking months at (Northeast Mississippi) so I can go (some)where bigger.
Bad timing but this might be a chance (to) put me back in (the) big lights were I (am) suppose(d) to be.”

He's talented. Our APR for football is stellar. I'd take the chance.

Not sure its the APR score that folks are concerned with. You should hope he doesn't show up to a high school with a stolen gun again or rap about killing people again.

RE: Josh Jarboe considering ASU??
I think if Jarboe winds up a ASU he'll behave for a few months but he'll show his true colors soon enough.

He got kicked out of Oklahoma for making a dumb rap video and posting it on YouTube. I, like others, thought it was just a kid doing something stupid, he has learned his lesson and should be given a chance.

And sure enough when he came to Troy he was okay and some of us thought he had learned his lesson. But then there was an incident where he "allegedly" choked a female student at the dining hall on campus and then later was suspended for stealing from a team mate.

I'm all for second chances and giving folks the benefit of the doubt. But Jarboe is nothing but trouble. If Freeze wants to try and turn his life around then more power to him, but the question is does Josh Jarboe want to turn his life around?

But let me tell the Red Wolves faithful something my daddy used to tell me and this relates especially to people like Jarboe: "I wish I could buy him for what he's worth and turn around and sell him for what he thinks he's worth."

A violent act towards a woman and in a public place = unsuitable to be on a college capmus

Stealing from a teammate = teammates can't trust him

Final analysis - keep this kid as far away from your school and porgram as possbile.

I'll put this simply. TROY. KICKED. HIM. OUT.

That ought to be enough for anyone to say "no thanks."

RE: Josh Jarboe considering ASU??
It would take a lot of hard work, dedication, and humility for him to make any impact at ASU which is exactly why I wouldn't take him. His play in actual games at Troy was average at best.
