However, when I go to the baseball games they had a counter thing and kept hitting every time a student walked by. So I hope they did it at the game yesterday, there were A LOT of students that came! I was very proud to see that many of students there and that they actually stayed the entire game, WOO!!! 04-rock

Don't forget about the 300+ SOTS in the stands! UAB brought their band, so that's another 150+. They did Malaguena at halftime and it sounded pretty good. I was on the other side of the field ready to go on and I couldn't really hear it, but parts that I did hear sounded good.

NCAA rules provide that the faculty athletic representative is to certify that students admitted by presenting an ID card are counted (commonly done with a "clicker"). If Troy is failing to count student admissions (which I doubt) practices need to be changed to conform with NCAA rules.

Troy has been playing home football games for many many years. I can't believe that they all of a sudden just forgot to count students. 03-lmfao

I watched that game on ESPN360. If there were 26,000 there, then that stadium seats 40,000

Thats what I'm saying. I watched the game also and I didn't see all the people they claim were there.

What bothers ME isn't the numbers - it's the fact that ONCE AGAIN - from half-time until the end of the game the stands had less and less people in them - by the fourth quarter I was embarrassed every time the cameras panned the stadium. Just LAME that these people leave. I wonder WHAT it would take to have them keep their BUTTS IN THE SEAT until the clock reads 0:00.

I was frankly surprised at the exodus at a point when the game was still interesting, especially since there was some blessed cloud cover offering some relief from the oppressive heat.

Something that has always left me dumbfounded! I am sitting in MGVS with seemingly pretty good attendance then I notice that everywhere around the stadium is crowded except the seats!!!!! One can hardly move to the bathroom under the stand seats, there are so many standers just standing there looking at each other, talking?. They seem not to understand how to be fans. I truly believe that at the UAB game if everyone got in their seats we would have indeed almost filled the stadium. I believe that inside the stadium there was about 26000. Not many UAB fans. At least they were in their seats.

beginning to wonder if UAB even really has any fans. That was a game I thought for sure with the combined fan bases and close proximity to each other that it would be a sellout. I just don't think UAB has any real interest anymore. I feel the same way about Tulane. I think there is real potential with the S. Alabama rivalry to come.

I expect South Alabama to have a better fanbase than UAB for many reasons.

I'm looking forward to the first time USA comes to Troy and vice versa.
