Really kinda of meaningless to track at this point as many of EMU targets are the result of summer camps where the staff gets a chance to view the prospects. That being said LB is critical need in the next class ie impact players and a multi threat TE would be great as well. Also a major upgrade at PK would be nice.

Cowboy, there was a recruit at practice today, big kid about 6' 6" at least, dont know how much help this is to you but on his letter jacket it said "Calderone"..dont know if thats his 1st name or school....

Cowboy, the purpose of this thread now was to establish the thread.

Ditto for the '09 hoops recruiting thread (I'm sure Dennis has a laundry list of possible '09 targets he'll be following through spring and summer AAU ball).

According to Scout EMU has made an offer to Jeff Fantuzzi a 6'4, 280 pound offensive lineman from Macomb Dakota stats says he runs the 40 in 5.3.

Would be real nice if they landed Benton but he`s most likely to end up at Ohio State. Dont know anything about Chapman if that Warrior was meant for me.

I think you mention there was a recruit about 6'6 watching spring practices and that may been Chapman. Of course I may have remembered wrong.

Yea, sorry that didnt register with me. It may be him but Im almost positive his jacket said Calderone, Im sure it wasnt Chapman. For all I know it was just some kid watching practice...lol..

We've offered a QB out of Maryland Tom Chroniger and also a TE out of Maryland Cody Magill.

We made an offer to Dustin Kiel a 6'1, 205 QB from Columbus IN I see CMU and IU have also offered him.

Three more Richard Drake WR Stone Mountain GA, Emmual Yeager QB Washington DC and Jordan Houser Fairborn OH DB.

Scout states that EMU has offered LB Jacob Green out of Wyoming Ohio.

Does anyone know if coach Genyck picked up any late signees - class of 2008? Seems like we still had a few scoliies to give and a few positions seemed thin (i.e. DL and LB)

We may have some walk ons this fall rather than scholies. Sometimes we get a rush of walk ons from uncommitted kids at the Michigan All Star football game. I think Eric Davis was one such player. We do need some depth at DL, LB and of course some competition at kicker.

According to rivals we have offered Denicos Allen a LB from Hamilton OH and Adam Schneid a OL from Avon Lake OH.

According to Rivals EMU has offered Dan Moll a LB from Parma OH.

Cowboy, know anything about a Ron Austin WR from Birmingham Brother Rice?...I read he`s goin to EMU this Fall. I dont know much about him, most likely a walk-on I would guess.
