"I went down there for junior day and I got a letter from every one of their coaches thanking me for coming," Carra said. "It makes you feel good. All your hard work is paying off."

Awesome. Effective and affordable way to make a statement to a recruit that he is truly wanted.

someone made the point of where was EMU ie instate recruiting:

Here's some info from ESPN:

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruitin...lId%3d2199

I only post those the services show we have offered to not just the ones we may be following. Lots of instate kids on the above listing.

2 I believe, a qb from D.C and a wr/s from Indiana, but Cowboy would know better than I. Happy Recruiting!

Not to steal any of Cowboy`s thunder, you got it right Steve. I checked it out on Rivals, Tom Chroniger left handed QB from DeMatha HS in Maryland,6' 1" 205 lbs..Rivals has it as a solid verbal on July 2nd, he also has a nice video on Rivals, good arm, nice touch. The other is a WR out of Columbus, Indiana, Nick Olds, 6' 3" 185 lbs, a solid verbal on July 23rd...both were rated 2 stars by Rival.

Depending on if the greyshirts show up (and I hope they do meaning Demaster, Watman and MacLeod) we should be looking at an incoming class for 2009 of about 12-15 I'm guessing.

Great Post - Steve - you are the man when it comes to finding recruiting info. Looks like EMU has offerred a lot of these Ohio kids - I would say the the coaching staff has concentrated on Ohio for their recrutiing. Wish Michigan Preps had the same type of listing etc.r

RE: Official 2009 FB Recruiting Targets Thread
DeMatha QB, Chroniger, had a bad game in an upset loss. 8 - 17 -0. No Tds and only 80 yards passing in a 21 - 14 loss. Chance to tie was stymied by a sack and two inc. passes.

He has one game on ESPN2 in early Oct. I'll try to see one live game in Oct.
