There's no problem with the underlying logic there from the standpoint of offensiveness.

Of course, since you completely skipped over the part about how you are acting as judge/jury for eveyone else when it comes to their individual levels of tolerance, I'll leave the ignorance portion of the show to you. That shows me enough of your mindset over this whole issue and why you clearly don't get it.
ok, i'll address it now. I am stating my opinion, on my level of tolerance. Those people can have whatever level of tolerance they want, i just simply disagree with it, as you're disagreeing with me.

I still don't see what's wrong with this magazine. BESIDES disrupting class, what can it affect?

What I want to know swoosh is why you think the girls at your school are sluts for wearing whatever they wear but yet you have a completely different opinion about the girls in the SI Swimsuit issue. I'm sure some of the girls in your school dress a little suggestive but I doubt that they walk in there with bikinis on (or in the case of the issue, bikinis off).

And Abercrombie is not my favorite store by any means, but just because someone wears their clothes, does not make them a slut. I have an Abercrombie sweater...covers me all up thank you very much.

i apologize, for again not being too clear. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way these girls dress. I was merely saying they dress like sluts, to say that if the magazine shouldn't be in school then nor should those clothes.

Have you seen or read about the Abercrombie catalog?

I've seen the Abercrombie catalog and I don't understand it personally. It's a clothing store but the models don't wear clothes...kinda makes me think about the "swimsuit" issue myself. Their clothes are not slutty...overpriced but not slutty. Their ad campaigns make people think that.

i guess "slutty" is arbitrary. But, you're right about their whole campaign. I don't understand why you'd want to have a catalog with sections about group sex and masturbation, but w/e.

So that is your personal opinion correct? Some people might feel the same way about the swimsuit issue, ESPECIALLY in school.

what? group sex and masturbation DOES NOT EQUAL women in bikinis.

Also, why do you have to sign your name? It's not hard to figure out who the post was from. I think Holden caulfield would have something to say about it.

What does me signing my name have to do with anything? It's habit...sue me little boy.

Is is all a matter of perception. Yes, group sex and masturbation are much more risque and questionable compared to bikinis in the eyes of most people, BUT that does not discount the fact that some people think that the swimsuit issue is a little too much to be in school. IT IS ALL A MATTER OF PERCEPTION...no one is wrong. Everyone has different opinions and you seem to think yours is always the right one.

I am done with you. I waste too much time for someone so young who thinks he knows everything. I feel like I'm Terpy and you're Nate...a neverending battle where no one wins.

of course my opinion is always right. it took you awhile to figure that out.

I didn't say you should stop signing, i was just wondering why you do it every time.

I have no problem with them confiscating it - give it back to the kid at the end of the day and tell him to not bring it back. But a suspension? It's not like the kid was jerking off to it in the cafeteria, thus doing irreparable harm to the psyche's of hundreds of nearly-teenagers.

and how does the catalog have anything to do with how the actual clothes on someone's elses body look? they got plenty of non slutty clothes-the clothes are preppy, not slutty.

umm, no it wasn't. The school deemed it as 'offensive' and 'sexually suggestive' material. That, my friend, was the problem with it.

it doesn't have anything to do with the clothes. I just brought up the catalog to see if anyone heard about it's content. It was a mere sidebar in this argument.
