Heck, that's Louisville *AND* Mississippi. (I think I've decided to adopt the Coach Cal rule of only calling them Mississippi, at least for a while.

I would even wear orange and become the biggest UT fan that day if they were to come here and play Louisville! Now that's saying something.
If Louisville were playing Russia in the Liberty Bowl, I'd root for Russia.

Best part was him calling Miami "an upwardly mobile program", unlike Memphis.

Yeah, Miami's just getting better, they've never been good enough to be expecting national championships.

I was going to link Rick Bozo's column also> :bang:

I think he's just jealousy because the NBA doesn't feel the same way about Memphis as he does, and hes still a reporter in a jerkwater/ backwater town and he is still a hack reporting "minor" sports (unless they let him near the horses for that one event a year in louiseville. Talk about not knowing their rearend from a hole in the ground. Oh, thats right Louiseville is a hole in the ground, and hes the head arse. 04-drinky

I just sent a polite e-mail wondering about all the negativity towards Memphis.

And I gave him some info on Memphis' "half-filled" stadium, reminding him that the Memphis/Louisville was the biggest CUSA vs. CUSA game ever and that Louisville leads Memphis in average attendance by a whopping 85 people.

Bozich is and always has been a horrible writer with an inexplicable axe to grind. He also suffers from the same delusions about looeyville that some of their trolls here do. The delusion that they are more relevant than they are. They are nothing more than a good midmajor football team...Miami? Outback Bowl? These are all delusions. In few years when they are sniffing behing Pitt, Syracuse and WV this will be exposed. Although replacing Miami, VTech and BC with looeyville, cincy and usf has brought the big east down so much that a marginal team will now be able to win.

TigerTwice Wrote:* I bet Rick Bozich would change his tune if we offered him free tanning minutes while in Memphis.
* However Loserville feels about playing Memphis in the LB, multiply it by 10 and that's how Miami would feel about Loserville. If we are "2 week old egg salad sandwich" to Loserville, then they are 2 month old smegma sandwich to Miami.
* If Louisville comes to the LB (which they will), I'm going to dress up in suit, rub on a $h!t load of bottled tanning lotion, and hold up a sign that reads "Louisville SUCKS! I didn't buy a ticket and I'm not going to the game. I'm just here to harass Louisville fans. I am Rick Bozich's illegitimate son!!!" Who on here is willing to show up at the LB to harass Loserville with me and NOT go to the game?
I'm with ya TigerTwice.

And I've got a set of great big Neon URNGE Coveralls to wear if they happen to play ANYONE with that in their uniforms.

Hell, I could wear 'em just to draw attention, and believe me, they would.

Damn things are louder than a Calipari Referee-Cussing Hissy-Fit.

Also, his comment about playing in a "half full" stadium in Memphis. The problem is that a "half full" Memphis stadium is more people than a full pizza palace.

This just makes me want to kick their a$$ again even more. Before, I was only luke warm on a rematch. Now I say bring it on.
Typical louievull.......

Louisville WANTS to stir up Memphis against their coming to the Liberty Bowl. They want to go to the Outback Bowl, and they think they can for some reason. But, to do it, they have to get out of the Liberty Bowl. They are just trying to wiggle out of the Liberty Bowl much like we tried to wiggle in.

There's a whole lot of wigglin' goin' on!
EXACTLY. It's just meant to provoke a response. And it did. I haven't clicked on the article and don't plan on doing so. I don't know what a valdosta is and don't really care either.

Memphis has many things Louisville doesn't yet, and some things Louisville can't even fathom on getting. I don't think it's really necessary to get into a listing comparison of the two cities; no need to really escalate this contrived pissing contest. Louisville is making some progress, but is still quite a few years behind of Memphis (city-wise), particularly when it comes down to downtown rejuvenation. While the citizens of Louisville have always been kind to me, everyone here is right about the ego of Cardinal fans -- they have a major boner for themselves and each other.

"Have they sold out their stadium this year? I seem to remember them playing on national tv in a less that half full stadium. What a hyprocrit!!"

Check out who leads CUSA in attendance this year. We've sold out every game but one and that was TCU on a freaking Weds. Oh yeah, and that's without the help of a FedEx buying thousands of tickets and givin them away.

By the way, were you one of the 8000 in attendance at the basketball game last week? Talk about mid-major. 8000 at a basketball game is EMBARASSING.

Well, to use an excuse from your line of thinking, the 8000 fans showed up to see a game against a near no-name school in a game that was NOT on national tv or any tv for that matter, and it was a thursday night, one day before we played a football game on national tv. Because your NATIONALLY TELEVISED game against TCU was on a wednesday night is a piss poor excuse to not fill half the stadium. On tv it looked like there was hardly anyone in the stands, it looked like some high school games I've been to.
And you lead us in attendance by less than 100 people per game, whoop-de-doo, that makes Loserville a freaking bad ass, give me a break!
