I wouldn't do that because you never know which NCAA rules you may violate.

Got a point. Somehow we have to let him know about the bang that is going to happen around here. Is mailing OK?

Well, I have heard that the No.1 QB in the nation might be going to the University of Texas . Ryan Perrilloux has decided that he can start playing sooner with the Longhorns. The big purple & gold people have bleed to death over this one. He is a good one to loose. Also heard that Jason McClendon is transferring to LSU from Texas Tech. That makes two that have transfered to LSU that played high school football at Evangeline Christian.

As long as he doesn't end up at LSU, I'm happy for Mr. Perrilloux. Good luck to him.

Mr Perrilloux made a collossal blunder by committing to Texas this early.
He will be harrassed unmercifully by LSU fans......
Johnny Hector from N.I. committed to A@M over LSU back in 79-80....
His family recieved death threats.
I defy any LSU fan to refute my post....

It is a free country we still live in , isn't it. I think he made a good move myself. You know he would not be a Ragin Cajun.

Red, what the heck? I could'nt care less if he was attracted to UL, McNeese, or ULM. The pt of my statement was, by committing this early(before his senior year), he is opening himself up to some major league abuse by lsu fans.
Not all of it will be playful. It will get brutal for he and his family, before the season is out. He could have waited till his season was over to commit. IN MY OPINION, it was not a good move to commit this early. Committing to Texas was freakin' brilliant!
Z.
is that a light sabre, or are you just happy to see me? :saber:

Anybody heard anything new on the QB recruiting. I know that the coaches really like Marcus Jackson from Houston, Dustin Mitchell from Lutcher, and Ryan Meyers from CALIFORNIA. Jackson is the only one to be offered, but that is because Bustle had sophmore and junior film to look at. Mitchell and Meyers they are waiting to see more film during their senior years. They all sound good with Jackson the best runner, Mitchell the rawest because last year was his 1st year at QB, and Meyers because of his passing and leadership abilities. We should be happy with any of them.

Jackson goes to Westcide and Meyers to Vanden H.S. I also heard that Meyers' coach resigned so that would make this his 4th coach in H.S. And he still makes plays. Jackson is playing with some stellar athletes around him and gets the ball to the playmakers. Nobody knows more than the powerful Swamphound.

I see a lot of names that might be potential recruits, but I haven't seen one person that has commited to the Cajuns as of today. I just read that one of our negibors (tigers) received a commintment from Ciron Black(OL,6'5",325 lbs.) of Tyler,Texas. He made the second team on Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine. I belive that makes 9 commitments for them and every one is a top notch ball player.

WE ARE NOT LSU!!! Quite trying trying to compare us to them. Quit talking about how LSU got another committment, yet we don't. A verbal is nothing until the first Wednesday in February when seniors can officially sign with a university. NOW QUIT TALKING ABOUT LSwho!!!

Maybe things will start picking up soon in recruiting. The dead period ends Sept. 1 where a recruit could call a coach but a coach could not call a recruit. Sure hope that things start with a bang and the coaches are able to start getting some good commitments.
