I don't expect Notre Dame will be moving anytime soon. If they can land network revenue supplements that are in, or very close to, the ballpark among the elite power schools, they'll continue their ACC affiliation and remain officially fb independent.

I don't see conference busters, right now, in the ACC ready to go out on a limb and challenge the GoR. Notre Dame, technically, may have an invitation in hand from the BIG. Settling with the ACC along with other contractual matters, and convincing their constituents the BIG is the route to take, may not be the right moment to pursue. Notre Dame knows they can wait and ponder multiple options further.
