Let the kids get whatever they can - the schools don't have to pay a penny more than whatever the scholarship includes. Put it out there for all to see - let the IRS see it, let the schools see it, let the NCAA see it. Its a free country......

A fool and his money are soon parted.... if corporations and boosters etc.... want to buy these players, it is at their own risk. The free market will quickly figure out who should get paid and what the real worth is of that. Where it is an institution wide income (like video games) all players get a piece, where it is apparel pay by the player number, where it is some dumb booster that wants to pile cash on a player for his services to the school..... watch a couple of those blow up in their faces and see how quickly those payouts shrink to more reasonable numbers...

Right now this is all underhanded "payolla" - and in the eyes of the normal person watching, they see the NCAA pocketing billions of dollars in revenues, they see coaches pocketing millions of dollars in salary, they see Taj-Mahals being built on the sweat of these players, and they see players getting a tiny tiny fraction of that true value in return. Yes the scholly is worth something, yes they get to use the facilities made of gold while they are there, but these kids come and go.... that money train doesn't stop. Let them sell their souls!


There is going to be a chit-load of imbalance but guess what - there already is. At the very least let it be out in the open for all to see, then if others want to buy in, at least they know what the real price tag is.
