Pitching has been fine. I'll take a team ERA of 4.21. Our problem is hitting. We started out hot, against the lesser pitchers, but now we're cooling off big time. We have one power hitter and that's pretty much it. Batting averages are not good for about two thirds of the starters. We have players slugging well under .300 in the starting lineup.

We simply need better performance on the offensive side. I don't think it's coaching either.

Fair enough....I agree the offense is not performing. Maybe shaking up the lineup would help. So would helping these guys get the loop out of all their swings. Maybe videos of their swings would help? I don't believe they spend much or any time doing that. I'm not totally blaming the coaching staff, however, they just seem to be checked out half the time and negative the other half. That doesn't build long term winning teams.

Early season we did not face quality arms at all.Last season we opened at Clemson and had 8 ACC games overall. Not sure why Raquet and Lipke are not everyday players? But we have 2 guys who are 3-24 and 1-29 in the starting lineup???
Socher didn’t touch the field for the first 10 games and forced their hand to keep him in the lineup!
