Monster truck event in Harrisonburg? From what I can recall all you had to do was visit a Hardee's on Friday nights to see a monster truck event.

Kidding aside, I think the question becomes will people in Charlottesville come over the mountain to see a Monster Truck event in Harrisonburg? For our arena to succeed, we've simply got to be able to draw from beyond an hour away. The population being what it is is from the local community we will need entertainment worth driving for. Charlottesville has a huge advantage being only an hour from Richmond. In our situation, it can be tough to get people to make a four hour round trip from Richmond to see a concert, truck pull, Globetrotters, or Spring and Garden show.

Yeah, I think of the way Greenville is 2 hours from Charlotte and they often land bigger acts, but they have a much larger population area than Harrisonburg.

AUBC is a lot smaller so maybe the right niche shows and events can draw enough people from Winchester and the western reaches of NOVA, but it'd have to be something "exclusive" to Harrisonburg vs DC. Better than a trip to Baltimore for those living in Leesburg, Centreville, etc.
