Does the city of Austin have another venue for community events? I don’t know. Asking.

But as has been said many times, and gets glossed over every time, this is not just for basketball.

It’s for other purposes within the jmu and valley communities too.

Examples:

Gonazaga built a smaller arena. Why? They have the 12,000 seat Spokane center.
Towson built smaller. Why? Baltimore arena, or whatever it’s called now, seats 11-14,000.

App state? They have an 8,300 MULTI-purpose arena because there is nothing else in Boone and surrounding area for school and community events. Just like jmu is building.
