You must be fairly young, do you know the history of the construction of The Convocation Center? Though, they actually did make some fairly good chicken salad out of the original plan for the structure. It's just never been what we would have liked to have for our basketball programs and other events.

If by fairly young you mean almost 40, then yes I am.
While we're at it, let's argue about the size of the tunnels under the Quad. Or how about old Bridgeforth?
The Convo opened in 82. Times change. I don't think those in charge of the latest buildings were making those decisions in the 70s-80s, not to mention the change in architects used. Of course now that it's out of date we like to call it a shithole, but I doubt people at the time felt it was an incredible disaster.

The CURRENT administration and those in charge of building have been crushing it.
New Bridgeforth, Baseball/softball fields, Field Hockey Complex
All of ISAT(academic, residential, dining), new Bookstore, UREC and add-ons, Performing Arts Center, D-Hub, etc.
All recent projects and every last one of them has been a huge success.
So RECENTLY, what construction projects has JMU screwed up?

I guess in 30 years we may feel differently and we can make fun of how awful they are, but right now they fit the needs for JMU and for the near future.
