Fo, I always enjoy your thoughts. As a former UTA tennis player, I can tell you that we were pretty low in the food chain at Arlington. It was a really big deal the year they bought us new shirts to wear at the SLC tournament and let us keep the old ones.

Of course, that was back before student athletics fees, and the UTA athletics program, including football, was operating on a shoestring budget. Now, we collect $8.50 per semester hour from over 43,000 students (maximum $115, per student).

Imagine how well we would do in the Bubas Cup competition if we collected $20 per semester hour, like at Texas State San Marcos. (where the rate has just been approved to go up to $30/SH.) Dang. We could fully fund all the sports that the Sun Belt Conference sponsors!
