Hopefully we all do well OOC this year and then we can stab each other in the neck to get where we want.

But if you have to screw over conference mates, aim for Ark State, Troy, and App. They don't need all those 8-9 wins... 04-cheers

Cajuns with the over. Offense will be fine. If we can find any semblance of a defense we will be fine.

Jordan Davis is headed to Texas Southern I think.

What are your 4 for sure wins for the over?

UMASS
UAB
FCS
and throw in a couple Sun Belt wins

Your IAA game shouldn't even count for a win. You play non scholarship Campbell. Well they just moved to the Big South and now give out 32 scholarships but still you will be facing those that were recruited as a non scholarship program. Might as well schedule Davidson too.

It'll count for a win but not toward bowl eligibility (FCS opponents must have at least 57 schollies to qualify*).

I say we beat our G5 non-conference opponents. That'll increase our number of bowl-eligible teams more than hoping for the conference math to work out for us.

Don't know for sure, but I think Davis will pop up at an FCS back in Texas this fall.

The QB situation this season will be all hands on deck with Nunez and Lewis getting most of the snaps. We do have a couple of preferred walk-ons and a juco guy coming for the fall. I guess it's possible one of those guys wows the coaches, but nobody down here is expecting much from the QB slot until 2019 when the guys that Napier is recruiting right now are on campus. We are hearing very good things about those guys.

It's a tough bet with us but considering our past history, I'd have to take the under.

I could see anywhere from 5-7 wins for Georgia Southern so I’ll take the under.

Over on USA and Coastal. Push everyone else.

Yea, for USA, they should be favored, and possibly significantly, versus Coastal, Texas State, and Alabama A&M at home. They also get ULM at home and if ULL has issues, that's another toss up game there. Add in a road game at Ga Southern, and USA could get to bowl eligibility playing teams that didn't do that well last year. Troy and La Tech will be tough, but we get them both at home.

I think 5 is probably the baseline for USA.

South will improve fast, but likely open up 1-5 regardless. Last six games will tell all. I see 3 to 6 wins (total).

I think Texas State and FCS at home probably are wins in the first part of the season. Campbell is a good coach, and i think he has a lot to work with, but his MO is not usually a dramatic turnaround in year 1...It looks like its year two for him. If we can catch a break vs La Tech, we could be 3-3 to start off. I wouldnt count USA out vs Ga Southern. Jones never tried to come up with a game plan. Campbell will show up in that one.

More depth is the key. New QB makes me think 3 wins but if the QB does fine then 4-5. Lots of close games last year that were lost due to lack of depth.

And new DC, as well as the question of how Stringer's speed is replaced at OLB. Didn't work out too well last season.
