Just ask JR. I talked about the value of VT to the Big Ten awhile ago. I even pointed out how much VT and some of the Major powers of the Big Ten are now scheduling each other OOC. That is evidence of discussions and relations being made. That doesn't necessarily mean it is to the level of possibly joining, but that does mean that the parties are having discussions and who knows what comes up during those discussions.

They all have discussions. It's just doing their job to know what they are worth and to whom. VT would be valuable to either the Big 10 or SEC. I do think that the issues on the field in the Big 10 could serve as a catalyst to a final move in the realignment game at the end of the year. What better time to convince the presidents of the old line AAU schools that they need to consider adding some non AAU schools. I'm not saying it will happen but the window for it will be there if they want to push it. We'll see. And, besides, the Big 10 might need a couple of more additions to put some pizazz in their negotiations with the networks for before their contract is up. This season might not provide the leverage they are looking for.
