The understanding we have is that the guy who won the auction is a 25 year old entrepreneur from the New York City area. He has no ties to Arkansas State, and has never attended an ASU athletic function before. He will pay $11,700 to the Red Wolves Foundation for the opportunity to coach the game.

What's better than free publicity?

Publicity someone pays you $12,000 to give you. Jealous.

Being nationally ranked in a major college sport is much better. I wouldn't trade that for 12K and a odd story from the national media.

Baseball is not a major college sport, as much as you want it to be to lend credence to your argument.

There are two major college sports: football and MBB.

Baseball is probably fourth behind WBB.
