Just like old days!

Picks off Wentz making it even better...

Jimmy so far has been hit or miss. He makes some of the best plays and some of the worst plays on defense. He's made some great tackles, and plays on balls, and at times has been beaten badly. Yes, that is the life of a corner, but his highs and lows seem to be a bit more than most NFL corners.
Luckily for him he has earned the moniker 'fan favorite'. The Redskins have always held on to fan favorites for a long time regardless of production on the field justifying it. D'Angelo Hall, Fred Smoot, Chris Cooley all come to mind in recent years. If Jimmy plays as well as we know he can he'll be in Burgundy and Gold for a long time.

PFF gave JF'nM a grade of 69.6 against the Eagles, good enough to be ranked as the #19 CB for the week. Pretty damn impressive showing.

Wait till he really hits his stride in a few years, JFM has always had that "it" factor, and he has the drive to take things to another level yet. Just hope the redskins overall ineptness doesn't hold him back career wise from seeing deep playoff runs, etc.

Fuller not active for the WFT again this week, Jimmy F'n Moreland should see a lot of playing time. Murray presents more challenges than Wentz.

Even though he is a Chargers fan I just bought my son a Jimmy F'n Moreland jersey for his 12th birthday as he is a huge fan.

The WFT defense is going to get better with each game. They have the speed and quickness to stay with Murray.

Obviously that statement didn’t pan out today. Jimmy played “okay” (he made a couple tackles), but the near ancient Fitzgerald schooled him.

Murray looked great today. The Skins just did not have enough horses on offense to make a game of it. I like that they never quit.

I was watching the game on-and-off while doing other things around the house. Did it appear that Jimmy was being trusted/asked to defend against the future HOF Fitzgerald on an island? Sure looked like it on the times I watched. I suppose that’s a vote of confidence in Jimmy, but he definitely didn’t shut Fitzgerald down, but then nobody ever has which is why the guy is a perennial All Pro and first ballot HOFer.

RE: #ProDukes
I felt Jimmy held his own. He rotated between Fitzgerald and Hopkins but seemed to defend Fitzgerald more often. Fitzgerald had 7 catches for 50 yards and no TDs. Hopkins had 8 catches for 68 yards and one TD. I can’t remember who was defending Hopkins when he scored but I don’t think it was Jimmy. As you can see, neither receiver’s average yards per catch was very high.

Jimmy gave up a few first downs but did a good job limiting YAC. He made some very nice open field tackles. All and all, I felt he played well against a very good QB and offense. Holding that offense to 30 points isn’t a bad days work.

The Cardinals should do well this season. The NFC West looks tough this year except San Fran who now has a bunch of injuries. The Cardinals look to be a playoff team for sure.

TD they were in zone, but Landon Collins blew the coverage as he did not pick up Hopkins as he cut into back of end zone. Jimmy was on the opposite side of the field.

Per the snap counts, JFM played every defensive snaps for the WFT defense yesterday. Impressive considering the tempo and talent on Arizona's offense.

There were a lot of injuries yesterday which is obviously terrible but moves the depth chart up and could make room for some Dukes. Earl Watford seems like a guy to watch out for as offensive lineman injuries start piling up. Rashard Davis may find a way back into a roster after an impressive training camp with the Titans.

I thought the defense was a zone on the TD but wasn’t sure. I believe the Cards were in the red zone on the TD. Hard to remember every play.

Get him on the field- the defense could benefit from his presence.

When I think back to Ron'Dell's journey, I think he would/will look back and say his decision to leave Rutgers and head to JMU was the best decision he could've made. Great to see. He got a chance to win (a lot) at JMU, gain exposure, play with his brother (nice for the family), and now look where he is. Is there a chance he could've made it to the NFL staying at SUNJ? Yes. But, he enhanced his chances greatly by wearing purple. Well done, Ron'Dell. Rooting for you...and, that's difficult for me to say considering who your employer is. 03-thumbsup

Side note, so sad to see the news this morning of the great Chicago Bears RB, Gayle Sayers, has died at age 77. I guess he and Brian Piccolo are in Heaven right now back together again.

Note to self...watch the movie Brian's Song this weekend (and have a box of tissues readily available)
