And the dude that kicked the girl in the head while she was down better have been arrested.
Officer used deadly force and prevented a murder from taking place. Not long ago we would have praised such an effort.

I'm glad Chauvin was found guilty. This officer was justified in his shooting. Each situation needs to be looked at in its own bubble. Just because a black person gets killed by a cop, doesn't mean it's automatically the cop's fault. He very well could have saved the 2nd girl's life by shooting the girl with the knife. Once you start going after people, it is no longer self defense.

I actually went ahead and did some searching on the topic. While violent crimes has drastically decreases since the 1980s, there was an uptick in murders in many large cities last year. However, violent crime overall still dropped, and murders are still half of what they were at their peak in the 1980's.
Now, if you wanted to actually use what little brain power you have left, one could come to the conclusion that with all the schools shut down, especially in these big cities, leads to after school programs being closed down, sports being closed down, and a lot of other programs that keep young men off the streets. That very well could play a big part in it, since young men are most at risk for shooting deaths. It will be interesting to look back and see what other factors may be at play.
Either way, crime is not rising to 1980 levels, as nationwide, it is still declining, as it has been for 20+ years.
But again, I'm sure things like "numbers" and "stats" are hard for you.
