ODU's two losses were to High Point.
Appears we have a very solid pitching rotation and bullpen settling in early.

Just remember that pitchers are more effective relative to hitters in the cold. Batters heat up when it's warmer and have seen more pitches. I'm excited that we are hitting. I think we have 4 or 5 good starters, but none are dominating so we'll see some ups and downs. Hope that Sara can take care of save situations. The cool thing about baseball is that hitting is contagious. I hope we keep our bats alive. I think the opposite happened late last year. Campbell will have a very good team and it should be a good series.

Down 2-0 through 4. No hit and guys are watching strikes. Campbell's Johnson isn't waiting for us to get comfortable at the plate...I've never seen a pitcher hurry through pitches like this. Need to knock him around a little to instill some humility.

Big win - Campbell is a baseball school and defending Big South champions. Equally big is falling early and bouncing back.

10-1 start is greatest ever for Tribe baseball team.
Timely hitting, waiting out pitchers to get walks (8 yesterday), good starting pitching, very good relief pitching, three starting freshmen everyday players who are contributing, and a little luck all add up to this starting turnaround from last season.
Two more games with a good, experienced Campbell team that won Big South championship and played in NCAAs this weekend.
I'm beginning to believe.

Very well pitched game. The freshman kid who closed the game is impressive. Lots of movement on his fastball and a good breaking ball. A sweep against Campbell will be nice. Hope the rain passes through tonight.

I know it's early in the season and doesn't count for much, but it's interesting seeing how turbulent the baseball RPI is. The Tribe was at 13 when I posted last week. Since then, and they haven't dropped a game, they are 32nd.

Forget about the schedule...forget about who we defeated.
We're 11-1....11-1! And beating UVA (at their place), sweeping High Point (at their place too), and now two in a row over a very good Campbell team isn't exactly chopped liver.
Let's instead recognize the team and coaching staff for the greatest start ever in W&M annals.

Checked into baseball game at halftime of basketball. Incredibly, we are up 11-3 after six innings! Holy Babe Ruth!!!!
