Agree - responsible lies with the NCAA Selection Committee that picked 6 Mountain West teams and only 3 Big East teams and only 4 ACC teams. Had more Big East and ACC teams been selected we’d have better scheduling. Instead the game is now 20+ wins and blowing out poor competition.

It's been 20+ wins almost needed for a while. Teams needing to be no worse than 4 games over .500- been a long time(2021 weird year excepted) that a team like that has made the tourney. Not seeing teams like 2000 Georgia who made it in at 16-14 any longer.

We played UH last fall, I thought that was an awesome (and regional) nonconference game for both of us. Hopefully the BE schools will take that extra game and play an interesting regional foe instead of another patsy.

Yes, it was. I'd love for us to play each other annually in all sports, to be quite honest. It could be more of a friendly rivalry than, say, either one of us vs. the Longhorns. (And before bullet comes to chime in, let me remind him of something: While our games against each other are huge, you can tell it's toxic between us. Like real toxic.)

This is a bummer, but conference challenges at the major conference level are going away. You can thank the NET and its emphasis on crushing Quad 4 opponents for that. Only the ACC-SEC challenge remains for major conference challenges.
