Just curious why the party deck was changed from the original design? The new design shows that a significant number of season ticket holders will be forced to move their seats and mostly likely to the east side.

Why not put the party deck on the east side, which would have minimal impact to season ticket holders. Most of us in sections 101-105 are going to be displaced.

I suspect if things go well they might upgrade the East side in a future update. So eventually those seats will be gone.

Last year when they announced this, they said they were going to do an entire reseating of the stadium based on current season ticket holders and MAF (Memphis Athletic Fund) priority. Now we find out people on the East and lower West sides will get to keep their seats. I'm lucky that I get to keep my seat, but I understand how people that have to move might be upset (and you don't even get a fair shot at the East side because they aren't reseating).

I have been on East side for past decade & yes I was pleasantly surprised I was able to renew my 4 current seats. They did require a MAF donation this time that they hadn’t in the past, but I had been giving a little there anyway to get parking, so only slight increase for me in net $ spent once all is said & done, so no complaints on my part.

I was a little surprised the new party deck was said to be open to all, I figured that would be limited to those in the more upscale seating…..although I guess they could require an access pass to it & charge for it if they desired.

Once you get over $1k you get access to the pregame meal in the TAF tent.

Maybe one day I will get there, for now it’s normally Uncle Lou’s or Tiger Tacos while watching pregame warmups. 04-cheers

If you have a subscription to the DM, there are a lot of Q&As.

What I read is that my seats in 105 are gone forever.

The phase 3 picture looks like they bring back some of the 105 seats above the party deck, but yes some appear to be lost for the party deck.

It’s not permanent. Phase 3 brings most of those seats back.

In the first renderings of the new stadium it appears both sides of the stadium are renovated. In the newest rendering only one side is redone?

Are we leaving this side alone? ↓

In the original concept the only thing renovated on the east side was the skybox structure, turned into an open party deck. Now it will become the press box, while the new tower built on the west side will be suites.

I’m in 104. In phase 1-2 our seats are gone and we wait out the next two seasons. We need to raise $9,000,000 to reach our $25,000,000 to get the first $25,000,000 from Fred Smith.

Phase three would add seats above the party deck. Not sure how many but the 2026 season goal of all three phases being complete would bring capacity back to roughly 50-51k. To get phase 3 done will need to raise another $25,000,000 to get the second $25,000,000 released from Fred Smith.

There was one comment from I believe Laird that hinted at some alternate funding if fundraising lags. I’m assuming that would be additional seat charges, maybe bonds. Also hope springs eternal that Simmons will step up with additional naming rights $$$. They had indicated that was possible “if” the renovation happened.

I'm fine giving up my seats in our section during the redo. Not gonna lose any sleep over missing out on North Alabama and Troy.
