I'll be very amused if Kent State wins, which would mean our rep in the Big Dance will have a losing MAC record. God bless conference tournaments, lol.

So what happened in that first half of our league's championship game? No one knows because ESPN screwed up so badly that the previous game was still being televised until 8:15 when the MAC started at 7:30. Missed the whole dame thing pretty much.

Something like that demands to be spoken out against by those at the top getting paid the big bucks. But we won't hear a word about it from Mr. Jon Steinbrecher. Ugh so bush league. So frustrating that our leadership sucks. Time for new, fresh blood at the top.

I know divisions aren't a 'thing' anymore.

But in the past 20 seasons, including this one, the MAC tournament champion has been an East team for 18 of them. WMU accounted for the lone 2 West ones.

Well, when I first started following MAC basketball your school had Nate Thurmond and Howard Komives on the same team, and beat the defending national champions Loyola (Chicago) at home. It was not a joke conference back then!

Hopefully they get a #13 seed.

Wild finish. Akron wins. They led the MAC most of the year so figure they win it. Akron escapes vs Kent State. MAC tournament very entertaining games.

Yes, and two years later Ohio U. beat both Kentucky AND Louisville in NCAA tourney!

Agree - hopefully the MAC leadership receives a response from ESPN that is proportional to the disrespect our conference was given by them!

Congratulations to Akron. Freeman is a beast and I believe will eventually turn up on an NBA roster.


If Kent and Toledo do not have kids transfer out, then both schools should be very good next season.
