looks like q, walton and jourdain are going thru the motions

i would be surprised if we go better than 5-5 the rest of the season

Why would Q care about brown coming back? Unless Brown banged his gf or something they don’t take minutes from each other.

It's simple. We cannot hit 3s and we cannot defend 3s. Rice hit 47.6% and we hit 16.7%. The stats speak for themselves. So, you pay attention to the elephant in the room. If we cannot fix that.....we are doomed to a bad season.

How many games have they won since they added Tomlin???.. Tomlin joining might be one of the problems.

Im not disagreeing... but if it wasnt for Jaylon Young we would be 14-7 with a loss to SMU. He saved that game for us

Spot on. As gruesome as that injury was it might be the first time some of them are questioning their youthful invincibility

I smelled a rat back in November against Villanova after we played probably the worst half in the 4 decades I've been a fan. Turned out it wasn't a fluke after all. It was a full on rat. The team really is that bad. They just got extremely lucky for a few weeks. But the NET wasn't buying it. Turns out it has a better nose for this than all of us.

Agreed but I don't think it's on Tomlin. I think anyone with a reputation Penny brought on was going to face/cause the same issues. I honestly think that up until it was announced he was coming that Jones was our established go to guy and Tomlin's arrival threatened that.

Personally it looks to me like the Hardaway's playing time may have been a bigger issue. But who's to say? This team has so many issues right now it's impossible to narrow it down to one thing.

Penny is clueless and has just flat out stopped coaching, not that he was ever that great on x's and o's to begin with. I can't blame him though. When you are banging your head against a wall it's a good thing to just stop.

Yes. Q only came to Memphis for playing time in hopes of impressing nba scouts. My opinion, not facts. If he was still at Bama he would be #2 or 3 off the bench.

You can see there is a major rift between JQ and Jones. I was specifically watching them while they were on the court together. They more or less act like the other player does not exist and all but refuse to pass to one another.

Every game except Witchita st has been closer than expected since Tomlin was added.

Lets be real this was a pro tryout for Jones, JQ, Walton, Tomlin, Brown.

You nailed it Dallas Tiger. We outdid Rice in almost every category except 3 pt. shooting. I was surprised to see in the box score that we actually outrebounded them by 5 and that was offensive rebs. Rice was terrible from the FT line where the Tigers were great. It appears the team doesn't move the ball around on the perimeter quick enough to get good looks and are having to rush their shots. These Tigers don't shoot the 3 well enough to play against a zone and every team will zone us. We don't defend the 3 well at all. Several times a Tiger threw the ball right to an opposing player. When you have twice as many t.o.s than assists they are not playing team ball. Making shots can cure a lot of ills by this team and I am not sure they know how to fix that. I know Penny is not a quitter so I have no idea where they go from here.
