That's brilliant actually. NIL needs to evolve. The investors need to make an ROI and there needs to be a guarantee for what they are paying for.

Good luck with that. Just get ready for another lawsuit, which is how we even got to this point. Lawsuits and threats of them.

And remember, most of these agreements are for likeness not signing to play. You know, because that's against the rules, or was. Albeit now schools, especially P5 with money, need to do more where outside NIL fails.

But it does beg to ask the question about the California pay to play. But then again, it will be season is over, that's what they commit to, blah blah.

Decade too late for us vs. FSU. Although I think they had about 12 backups eventually drafted in addition to the 8 or whatever that year.

Wouldn't it be crazy if NIL actually helped keep players in these bowl games? If playing in bowl games became a sizable bonus built into their NIL deal.

There should be a bowl distribution for all players. Not just NIL guys.

That would be a very nice reward for all those players that do not have NIL deals. They deserve a cut too.

I always thought the bowl $$$ distribution was the way to go. Players are rewarded for doing well, encourages great performance.

Instead of conferences distributing bowl money to the lesser than teams, they should distribute bowl bonuses to players who make bowls.

RE: Florida State Getting Manhandled in the Orange Bowl
What I conclude is the NCAA P5 Football is exploding B$!!! 01-scout
And is filled with B$ laden excuses!

Some elite committee using their genius plus computer models put FSU at 4 or 5 in the country These ranking are now completely worthless and the bowl championship is a joke!!!! FSU should be ranked #125. The coach should be fired!

Then the excuses from people on this board that FSU was missing many players. Weren't the ones playing part of the team? Weren't they selected by the coaching staff? Weren't expectations for every one of them to be starters? It should be next man up, but apparently there is no next man at FSU and I suspect other p5 football teams. If anyone can criticize Coach Hammock for allegedly missing out on a player (out of thousands) then how can you defend the piece of crap group of players (note not team) that FSU put together? Are the FSU tansfers or non-starters that played the transfers that would make NIU better?

Were these players receiving NIL$. If receiving NIL, then they should be governed by a contract with the first thing being to represent the University with respect and dignity. Represent the team. Penalties for non-compliance can exceed NIL revenue. Then see what happens.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remind me the score of the #5 team taking on the #6 team? How were these rankings determined? Was FSU's ranking a brilliant, legitimate and near perfect ranking? This was a great game and exciting for everyone including everyone not from Georgia (who I'm sure turned on Toledo vs Wyoming for some honest to goodness football)? Were these players selected by the FSU coaching staff including those that played and those that sat out? Were the players expected to step up? All the things talked about on this board didn't come into play in a more than expected explosive way?

WTF are you talking about? Or was this just a fluke slaughter by Georgia? Or are you just angry because they kicked you out Florida which is almost impossible? 03-rotfl

A bowl game played by FSU is meaningless with half the players out.

An NIT type tourney would be great. A separate 12 team playoff for those teams that really dont have a realistic shot at the big dance. You'd have the best of the G5 vs the second tier P5 teams. I think it would make for great viewing. You could even set up as G5 vs P5 bracket wise. And make their a payout for the champs to incentivize players

If you do that, you need to have the top 4 teams just play amongst themselves the following year since no one else has a chance.

I’m not sure what you mean. This is similar to Frazier's G5 tourney but open to P5 teams that don’t make the primary playoff. Just a thought to get rid of the 40 meaningless bowls. With two 12 team tourneys you get 22 meaningful post season games.

Most P5 teams don't have a chance at the big dance either. It's maybe 15 schools that have a chance.
