Agreed.
I know you wrote about the subs before, too. That killed us vs Miami as you said. It was clearly a strategy (flawed though). Did Satterfield ever say what the rationale was? You have more talent or you have momentum, why would you sub so much.

I assume they were thinking 4 down territory and could get it to 4th and short with a run. Don't mind it. Didn't work.

i'm not opposed to that but then you have to go into the huddle with two plays that you can run to get the yardage you need and the personnel to run those plays without subbing so that you can go fast.

Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!

The things we see keep looking like a staff with a guy who is new to being a HC.

I was sorta non-plussed with the hire. Thought it was a bit of a desperate one due to whiffs up the line. But what can you do...

An incredibly strange personality fit for a midwestern urban university that historically reacts well to personalities that fill a room. This prolly won't end famously.

i think the only references to substitutions i've heard from him was related to gamesmanship by defenses.

Honestly, one of the things i enjoy about watching some of the high octane offenses is that they are really strategic about their play calling. They'll run a pass play and the next play is run or short pass play to keep everyone near the line of scrimmage for 3rd down.

Our offense is definitely not there yet. Don't know if they'll ever get there.

Fickel left some big shoes to fill, and it appears that Satterfield has small feet. The chances are, at his age, that they aren't going to grow.

He wants to be the offensive coordinator. He'll likely get another chance to do that someplace else in a couple years.

Awful. And that drive and others, we just looked SLOOOOOW. Was that altitude or we just lack speed?
Our RB and WR have looked slow all year.
