It looks like real chicken is safe for the time being in the core markets like NC, but I am sure some bean-counter will kill that at some point.

now that The Stanley in Elizabeth is closed, and their whole cast iron fried chicken gone with them, where is there to go to in Charlotte for good fried chicken? Theres a Korean Joint open in the Arboretum i've been meaning to try. Gas station fried chicken?

I avoid fast food places if at all possible. Happy to give a local place a couple extra bucks to give me food that tastes good.

Had the chance to invest in multiple units, looked at numbers and locations and obviously passed. They seriously discounted the real estate and salary costs.

Supposedly, the Shell station at East and South Blvd's fried chicken is where it's at. Can't confirm. I've never had it.

Yum I can almost taste it!!!!!!

Not as good as Popeye's. I live in the middle of Bojangles original market. Popeye's ruined them for me, but I've eaten a lot of Bojangles. Now I can barely stand to drive past one.

I agree that Popeyes is pretty good, but I didn't know people were eating the chicken from Bojangles. I always went for the biscuit sandwiches. If you're ever in Memphis, you need to give Gus's Chicken a try.

RE: The North Texas market celebrates the AAC expansion w/Bojangles!!
knew a man Bojangles and he danced for you
In worn out shoes
Silver hair, a ragged shirt and baggy pants
The old soft shoe
He jumped so high
He jumped so high
Then he'd lightly touched down
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Dance
I met him in a cell in New Orleans I was
Down and out
He looked to me to be the eyes of age
As he spoke right out
He talked of life
He talked of life
He lightly slapped his leg instead
He said the name Bojangles and he danced a lick
Across the cell
He grabbed his pants for a better stance
He jumped so high
He clicked his heels
He let go a laugh
He let go a laugh
Shook back his clothes all around
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Dance
We danced for those at minstrel shows and county fairs
Throughout the south
We spoke in tears of fifteen years
How his dog and him
They travelled about
His dog up and died
He up and died
After twenty years he still grieves
They said I dance now at every chance and honky tonks
For drinks and tips
But most the time I spend behind these county bars
Cause I drinks a bit
He shook his head and as he shook his head
I heard someone ask please
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Dance
