Charlotte has a much better tradition than ECU in hoops. ECU has been a little better in recent history I'd say, but not enough to brag about.

1) Charlotte by a mile
2) ECU by 3 feet
3) Charlotte
4) ECU

UNCC by far. ECU has little tradition. Really like our 2nd year Coach giving us hope of respectability. We've got to get that sport turned-around.

Charlotte vs ECU in:

Football : 0-0
Mens Basketball : Char 18-10
Baseball : ECU 33-5

1) Charlotte
2) ECU has won last 2
3) Halton (Charlotte). Minges needs some love.
4) I'd assume ECU since we have a clusterf*** going on right now.

I will think that there should be a new state: East Carolina taken form both North and South Carolina. Seems fair to me.

I'm guessing you must be a Steph Curry fan because Davidson does NOT have a greater history than Charlotte. They have literally won NCAA Tournament games in exactly ONE SEASON since ~1970 and that was Steph's big year. BTW, we still beat them that season and have a big head-to-head series lead over them that dates back to 1979.

I'm not a Curry fan, just looking at it from the perspective of a basketball fan in NC. You do have the head to head but I was basing the tradition off of their team on regular season championships, tourney championships, ncaa appearances, sweet sixteen, elite eight, final four, etc...

It wasn't meant to be a direct comparison to UNC Charlotte.

That being said, they do have more of all of the above (minus the one final four you have to their zero) than Charlotte. I believe they have more of the above than any other NC team outside of the acc, which is why I went with them as having the tradition.
