RE: benglas playoffs
Betting line moved from Bengals +1.5 to Bengals -1. Sounds like there are a ton of Bengal believers out there as 80% of the early money went towards the Bengals, causing the shift.

Like i said before i don't bet my teams but Bengals +1.5 is positively stealing. Not surprised that the line moved that drastically.

One thing i would say is that this team definitely shows no fear whatsoever of anyone in the AFC. Unlike previous season where i feel like the steelers and the ravens were proverbial bogeymen for the Bengals, and were in the Bengal's heads with the slightest crack breaking the dam, this team absolutely has no effs to give about anyone else. There is a believe that exists with this team that simply didn't exist with previous editions. Maybe the good guys don't end up winning it all but i certainly believe they can, and that's a huge difference from some of the previous playoff Bengals.

And i can say that Hayden Hurst is quickly becoming one of my favorite Bengals of all time.

I feel like Hayden Hurst is the descendant of a Viking Berserker. Exactly the energy we needed for this team...

RE: benglas playoffs
All last year through the run I was sure we would lose every game except Raiders. This year I was scared of Ravens game and thought Buffalo would probably win given our OLine. I now feel like we are going to win it all. Weird how perception can change when you lay the wood to a title contender. Now I worry about how the Bengals will handle all of the love they are getting. Many people are picking them to take down KC and win the Super Bowl. Different position than they've been in all year. Hope they handle it well.

BTW: What an incredible OLine performance against Bills

We as a fan base now have almost as much confidence in them as the team does in itself. I think we've turned the corner from waiting on something bad to happen or the shoe to drop, to expecting a win.

Like I said:

90% Ohio gamblers took Bengals over Bills

I thought they'd lose to KC last year, but I had confidence in the other two games just because I thought the Bengals were better than the Raiders and the Titans.

This year I thought the Bills and Bengals were even teams. Statistics on the Bengals were off because of the first few games where Burrow wasn't Burrow (coming off the appendix issue) and the line hadn't gelled. It kept giving fans absurd value on the lines (covered 10 straight games by opening line, and 9 of 10 by closing line).

I think the line is finally pretty good this week. If Mahomes was healthy, it should probably be KC 2.5 or 3. The questions on his health have moved it a bit toward the Bengals.

As of right now, I don't plan to bet the NFL games this week. Things may change as we close. I already have +230 on either SF or Philly to make the superbowl (bet at the beginning of the playoffs). That result doesn't matter to me.

RE: benglas playoffs
I think I would rather the 49ers than Eagles. Both teams look strong on D & O Lines and both run the ball really well. Would just rather face Purdy than Hurts. Either way if we make it we're going to have to shutdown the run first. Will be different than how we have to play Bills/Chiefs on D which are typically pass first, although Chiefs will most likely try to get run game going stronger with Mahommes limited.

Line back to KC +1 at least at Tipico (although moneyline is -110 for each) as I write this. I think the perception of Mahome's prognosis has improved. Not to mention neither Jonah nor Cappa practiced today for the Bengals.

RE: benglas playoffs
Bills GM Brandon Beane has seem to have eaten some sour grapes:

Quote:"They have a good team," Beane told reporters. "They right now are on the advantage of a rookie quarterback contract. And they had some lean years - and without getting too much into their build - and I don't want to suck bad enough to have to get Ja'Marr Chase. But he's a heck of a talent. I would love to have him. But you gotta go through some lean years to do that. And you know, they were able to get (Joe) Burrow) (No.) 1 (overall). And I don't remember where Chase was drafted, but it was pretty high. And those guys are on their rookie deals. We're paying Stefon Diggs a pretty hefty number. We're paying Josh Allen a pretty hefty number. So there is the constraints of the cap. But they have a really good team. And they've got some good young players."

Wish the Bengals could've converted for a TD right before half but scoring any points there was a MUST. Only down one score...

My infatuation with Iron Joe aside, the way this Bengals defense tackles in the open field is top notch.

WTF just happened? A phantom whistle call that blew the play dead before the snap?

Props to Taylor for changing his call to waive off the penalty. 4th down punt...

Ultimately the league and networks got what it wanted. Last year it was a nice story. I knew they never had a chance with the way this game was officiated.

Sorry Bengals. Helluva run this season after the slow start. Respect your team a great deal. Feel so bad for the Ossai kid. He played his ass off and was trying to make a play on Mahomes getting out of bounds.
