I am not sure cutting ESPN out will benefit the B1G. No College Gameday visits or exposure in football nor basketball. B1G/ACC challenge is done. No more B1G Mondays for B1G basketball. Really going to be interesting to see if NBC or CBS can build something to replace that exposure.

On the flip side, it becomes even more important for ESPN to expand outside of the Southeast, IMO. Although as long as they have the NFL, NBA, etc., it's not like those in other regions are going to drop ESPN because they don't have the Big Ten (I could talk myself out of it either way).

MACtion alone will keep ESPN in homes across the Midwest!

I have to say, ESPN getting Notre Dame would be absolutely brilliant for them (and honestly would help the ACCN). Although, it's looking like they'll stick with NBC per reports.

ND signing with NBC would not be the worst outcome for the ACC. If the report is true, ND will get a good money from NBC. That means ND won’t leave for BIG and no Pac schools will get an invitation from the BIG.

What will be the ESPN’s next move? With the SEC and BIG staying pat, the ACC is next up in the pecking order.

Is this just a misprint?

"ESPN in 2024 will begin carrying all of the SEC's football games and has the ACC's rights through the 2035 season."

I was under the impression that the current deal ran through 2036-2037.

Like I said in another thread: no ACC school is going to pay out 14 years of rights for 7.

We can put "UNC to the Big Ten" to rest. Finally.

The BIG is never done until ND is in. But ND is not moving at least for the next cycle.

I am telling you. It’s ACC’s turn now.
