Rotate the other four games between the other 14 ACC schools.

Your 5 games per year have already been planned out for you through 2036.

Change them.

Or, ND can drop Stanford as an annual opponent and fill in the gap with games with Cal.

(You said yourself that Stanford is not on ND future schedules after what, 2024?)

No sixth ACC game obligation.

If the Irish don't play ACC teams, just who will they play? The SEC and B1G will each soon have 16 teams, and while I'm sure they'd love to open the season against Notre Dame, I'm no so sure about October and November.

The ND/ACC contract is for five games a year, not six.

(Under the deal, ND provides the dates, the ACC provides the teams. So, there are your open ND November dates if necessary)

I am not saying don't play ACC teams, just limit it to the five agreed to.

ND hasn't had much trouble filling out the other 7 games on the schedule.

ND fans want the status quo, for now, not an increased ACC participation.
Some of us want the number of games greatly reduced. I say one game per year, they say 5. Meet in the middle and call it 3. Win-Win.

The ACC shouldn't keep them. It should kick ND completely out of the conference.

Compromise is fine, but you're misrepresenting the ACC position.
Notre Dame wants one game per year,
the ACC wants 11 games...
(1 + 11)/2 = 6
That's compromise!
