Totally agree. Rongie actually played Lofton better in the last 2 games. He did a better job of not immediately giving ground to allow Lofton easy access to the basket, but when he did get close, Rongie played straight up and didn’t swat at him like Jemison does. His hacking drives me crazy. If he stands straight up with his arms extended, he’s like 9’. Why swat and hack all the time?

Without Rongie stepping up in the last few weeks, we're debating whether UAB should/shouldn't have accepted a bid to the CBI.

Who'd a thunk it just a couple of weeks ago that we'd be champs??? At that time the feeling was we'd be lucky to get past the 1st round. IIRC we were predicted by many to be the champs preseason & then here we are. Blazer fan mindsets always seem to be doom & gloom from years of that happening but seems like we're getting the right coaches in to get us over that hump & achieve levels we've not seen in some decades. I'm hoping for the best & we're peaking at the right time to make some noise

Ertel sure found his shot in a timely fashion, starting March 2nd.

He scored 20 at Hattiesburg, 20 a week ago against LA Tech, and then 16, 26, and 15 in Frisco. Scoring wise, the best stretch of five games Ertel had all season.

So happy for the win. I haven't been a blazer fan too long, but Quan has easily become my favorite player. That kid hustles and kills it for us every...single...night. You assume he's just a defensive turnover specialist but then check the box and he goes for 20 points almost every time.

Is it possible to have scrimmages with other teams leading up to the tournament? Heard AK make a joke about how we've got no trouble beating the press against the scout team. Seems like it would be a great idea to find another team today or tomorrow and try to iron that out. There's 3 other teams going dancing within 100 miles of Bartow.
