RE: Alright, Explain ESPN+ to Me
ESPN is responsible for some of the ESPN+ productions. I know last year they contracted AState to do the womens soccer tournament.
If you like NHL or Major League Soccer you need ESPN+

If you like college sports you can find plenty of options right now....baseball, softball, men's and women's basketball and I'm sure there are more but these are the main 4 on every day of the week this time of year

RE: Alright, Explain ESPN+ to Me
I have ESPN+,HULU, HBOMAX, SLING, DISCOVERY+, DISNEY+ for free from friends and family. I have Netflix and Prime to share. Usually, you are allowed multiple log-ins most up to five. Sling does have channels only one user can watch at a time and the sports channels are in that section. I would never pay for all that on my own I don't know why anyone would. I also got an Amazon Fire Recast and a 80-mile antenna. This thing is amazing and a broadcast picture is the best. You can sync it with, sling, broadcast, and all the free TV apps, like Pluto, IMDB etc into one guide. You can just go through the hundreds of free channels and make a favorites guide. It is also a DVR. There are 141 free digital broadcast channels in the ATL market alone.

Alright, Explain ESPN+ to Me
Can anyone explain why and when ESPN3 is still in use? Are there specific criteria that make them put it on ESPN3? Is it an ESPN production or a school feed like on ESPN+?

I know at Troy, many of the students from the Broadcast/Communications department help operate the gameday media for ESPN+. I would assume it's that way for many other schools that utilize ESPN+.
We’re not on ESPN yet, but all of JMU’s sports content is produced by our athletic department communications staff in coordination with learfield. It’s high quality, espn like productions. I haven’t heard our relationship with learfield is ending with the new media package.

Not the proper answer but I noticed a trend last year amongst CUSA schedules that a majority if not most of CUSA's games against their lone FCS team was on ESPN3 while alll other games not on Facebook/Stadium/CBS Sports Network were on ESPN+. Again, not sure why but maybe had something to do with FCS vs FBS teams????

Also, among the current SBC schools, who is known for the “worst” school produced streams in terms of its quality?

I'm one game away from canceling my subscription this year. Our ladies lost in their tournament game today. Let the men fail tomorrow and I'm done until football season.

It's not just NCAA, NHL, and MLS. You can watch second division Mexican soccer, African Basketball League, and Indian Premier League cricket this time of year too if that's you thing.
ODU is playing Liberty in women's lacrosse on ESPN+ as I write this, while ULM is playing two sports on there at the moment.

The ESPN+ commentators for this year's tournament are Matt Stewart and Nate Ross.
I feel like Matt Stewart has been commentating for the Sun Belt for years now. Wasn't he also the guy who commentated on ESPN+ during Sun Belt Media Days?

He was scouting SBCCG opponents, I'm sure. It makes perfect sense.

Fair enough. Guess he/his team didn’t do a very good job of scouting though…
