If they didn’t release anything:

The conference has their goal and they are sticking to it. Regardless of what they do, they are the laughing stock of college football. I don’t blame them for tying to bring this into the mud.

Yep. This whole move by CUSA, which I applaud, is to force ESPN, SBC, and the SB3 to pay what CUSA wants as opposed to the pennies the SB3 think they can get away with. This is moves and counter moves and CUSA has the advantage.

Pennies is all it will take if this goes to an arbitrator. With 11 other teams the solution isn't hard to come by and damages are so small given the revenue at stake.

This is pettiness and CUSA won't gain anything of substance while losing the court of public opinion badly.

Over/under what penalty will be paid? I'll set the line at $550k from each school.

I think it will be incredibly hard to get any providers to put money on the line for any of these games at this point in time.

That’s not on us. If a contractor breaks a contract you can’t burn your house down and expect them to pay for it.

Also, by forcing the SB3 to pay a bigger early exit fee, it also provides some incentive for the remaining CUSA5 to stay put to get the money. I.e. WKU or any others who may be thinking of jumping ship before the next two years.

I can see $750,000 for 2022, cumulatively 3 million.

Easy check considering the Sun Belt waived it's 3 million entry fee.

CUSA was playing chute's and ladders, Sun Belt was playing chess.
